All I have to say is that the company I work for allmost took on the sf contract in s,w wales but we decided that we couldnt cope with the area they wanted us to cover, SA1 to SA21 as we all ready cover a large area and It would mean we would have to put another engineer on the road and that was not an option. So I guess we had a lucky Escape. I would like to thank adrian for bringing this to our attension as if he had kept quiet none of us would be any wiser and who knows what could happen. . :rolls: :rolls:

HI re E90 Fault. Communication error between boards. Note The blue cable joining them together sometimes that becomes a little lose or contaminated if you change that cable you will find that that will cure your fault. Have done loads of them. 😆 😆

    HI there
The reed damper is located in the left hand corner of the freezer up the top. you will need to remove the pannels to get access but it is an easy job have fitted loads of them but not to sure of part number. the last one I fitted had a light switch as a description on it if that helps. 🙂 🙂

Check to see if the fan in the freezer is running and that there is no ice buid up on the evaporator or ice blocking the air vents which go up to the fridge. 🙂 🙂

why have hotpoint changed the design of the module by inserting a J10 connector If I remember correctely the cables only go to the dryer fan motor, What was wrong with the old module which fitted most of the machines.

    Just A quick Note: 😮
Be extra carefull when testing from the plug for an eatrh fault in todays modern machines as the electronics are so sensitive you could be doing more dammage than the worth of it. 😆 😆

    HI there
Check then connections on the main pcb which go to the pressure switch make sure that ther isnt a bad contact there. Also make sure that the appliance isnt calling for water via a faulty valve. Or the machine isnt trying to empty Via a blocked pump. Failing all that you are probibly looking at a faulty module.
    Good Luck

    Re: Zanussi ZWF1631W foult code 90 ?

    Hi there
the E90 fault is loss of communication between user interface pcb and main pcb. Easly fixed by removing the blue lead from the main pcb and inserting it a couple of times, sometimes you get a bad connection which will give you this fault. I normaly change the blue lead as a matter of course anyway. As for blowing the trip have you checked for any earth leakage. Motor if favourate on this type of machine. Normaly with a fault like yours the customer normaly complaines the they cant select a prog.
Hope to have been skome help. 🙂

If I get a stubborn fan out comes the chisel and I chisel it off. Always carry a spare fan on the van for this reason.
