    Re: Gorenje

C.I.H. Dealers in my area don’t want to know about Gorenje, because the supply is not from their normal chain. I looks like they don’t want to buy from outside their group and therefore using DAD. They are a bit of an insular lot around here.

    Re: Gorenje

Eeh Up Young Ian, welcome to the real world. The following you may have seen, I did post it in the ISDAL thread. I spent a few hours with Robert Gillman 2 weeks ago as we went to a meeting in Darlington C.Durham. As below as far as I can make out still prevails, but nothing surprises me. Adrian Gillman tends to do things his way, and things may have changed.

From the Horses mouth, by all means p.m. Ian Dales, but as he isn’t in this room, for now maybe not prudent to let on where and how you got this.

Built-in, D.A.D. don’t want to know, and have never dealt with Gorenje built-in.

Comet, Gorenje have alsways supplied direct to Comet a few refrigeration products, was 2 only, now going up to 4. Comet do their own service.

C.I.H. Dealers, now moving into sales of Gorenje, and there was talk regards H.I. Group carrying out the logistics. D.A.D. begged to differ on that one, (Polite way of saying someone at DAD told them they were not effing having it); and after consultation it was a greed that D.A.D. will remain the sole distributors.

So there we have it, and D.A.D. has just renewed the agreement/contract with Gorenje.

    Steve

Hope you got his registration number. If you call into B&Q they should have the evidence from cctv. Then you can confront the old fool with that.
If not, bluff it & tell him you have it on video, and you are reporting him to the police as a hit & run, “unless of course Sir, you pass me you insurance details etc.”

You may well be asked by your empoyers what where you doing in B&Q in any case.

The new call logging regime on the web-site is very good. Gives you all the prices etc. and at least they are making an effort.

Watch the accounts though. Tracey is Months behind, and it shows. She still hasn’t banked my cheque for purchases as sent 18th April. Never had a statement for May, now received one for June, still showing March, April & May. I pointed this out to Dave Highton 7th June and he was supposedly on the case. I’ve since told them I am not paying anything until this cheque has cleared and they sort out the credits I’m due on damaged Leibherr doors. I stopped doing Leibherr some time ago, citing the fact I’m not taking any more hits on the packaging of parts.

Hollow protest though as they owe me a damn site more, and will probably contra. If they do that, I will terminate without notice.

Obviously a slow news day in the Principality.

Usually a report of a sheep stealing a cabbage off the greengrocers outdoor display makes the front page.

Nice to live in such a safe quiet area.

Is this to do with the Repairs@ that he was taken to task upon by the customer? If so is it worth updating in the appropriate A.C. thread.

Dave H would be a suitable replacement IMO.

The above statement has surprised me. Reason being, I phoned his nephew this morning and he tells me Richard is 56, that is younger than me. He was old when I was a lad, so I dunno how that happened.

Depressed now, off to have a glass of tonic wine, watch Countdown and have an afternoon nap.

I wouldn’t say don’t buy one, but I think people should at least know the potential consequenses and make an informed decision.

In an ideal world, but does the customer really care. If the manufacturers could stop the “progression”, then the price would be out of sync with the rest of the industry, and regretfully this is price driven. I mourned the demise of enamel tubs and bearing spiders, never thought plastic would catch on, let alone sealed.

Hopefully the WEEE directive will iron it out a bit.

I had the same train of thought regards timing chains in cars rather than cam belts; got to the point now that you are hard pushed to find a car that does not use a belt in order to allow the engine to self destruct. Even with a car at £15k plus, we the consumer has learned to live with it.

Suspect Jensen is spending too much time being a playboy. James Hunt was good at that, but he was also a hungry driver who was really passionate in winning. I had Jensen’s winning of Hungary as my wallpaper on my home pc. That may change.

Lewis Hamilton is about the same, must win win win every time. The last guy I remember like that was Senna killed at Imola, before that Jochen Rindt who was killed during the qualifying of the Italian GP in 1970. Does that say something, I hope not as it has got a lot safer since, and Kubica demonstrated that.

I saw a documentary some time ago, devoted to Lewis Hamilton. I saw something there, and above all the commitment and support from his father.

Now Now, I’m not quite a prostitute.

I’m hoping if I keep my head down, it will go away. The advantage of the new web-logging set-up is you can add notes and cancel calls. Surprising how “Busy” I shall be at given times.

    Candy work indeed!!!!!

A new head at the top may be good for them, I for one haven’t been happy for a long time, and that is with the operation as a whole, not on personality. Alex

Had Dave in my office on Thursday afternoon. To me that is what these work providers should do, get out there & see the troops.

We had a good old gossip, remembered some names and above all he introduced me to the Call logging webpage, which is very good.

I get the feeling he may well be moving up the Ladder in ISDA, he would not be drawn into much on this but even he felt it looks like he may be taking someones role in a couple of years.

So maybe I won’t be binning them too soon.
