Hope your right Martin as the lady has already let me know that she won’t be forking out for a module.

I can see where your coming from Tim but customers perception of a free call out can differ from that of the engineer.Something as simple as turning a spin selector knob, they may feel does not count as any form of a fix and this can lead to conflict.

It is the late ones without the separate selector to which I refer Tim. I haven’t changed any yet but did quote for a new board on one. I’ll phone the customer now and get the switch cleaner out.

Customers are saying they can’t get them onto top spin speed on spin only prog, one say’s if she jiggles the knob sometimes top speed light comes on. Also had problems reseting programmes, they seem to get locked in.

Thanks, I did clean the filter & remove a couple of hair grips but I could hear nothing catching in the drum. I will however take the heater out if I get a recall.

Is there anyone who can help me out on this ?
We’ve double checked with hotpoint on this and they state this is the correct heater, pt no c00258678. This m/c is still bringing up f14 however, the serial no is 905144150. Is this likely to need a module as there seems to be no reset for this ?Grateful for any help,
