Ok, without being there and testing it .. It could be anything .. Broken wire, bad connection, defective loom plug, defective pressure switch, defective heater.. And the list goes on.

ParticipantRe: LG / JTM Contracts Fridge Freezer repair shenanigans
Can’t say that I agree with the opinion on LG not caring about their customers, but I agree that it is a failure of the contractor (JTM) who cannot supply engineers with a relevant degree of expertise of the product they are to service.

That is good if that was the part…
If you get recalled to it, check the board (module) for tracking between components or connection legs.

Not the connectors in the plug that connects to the board…? One looks to have taken a bit of heat there.

ParticipantRe: Bosch wff2001
It is possibly a simple repair using brushes and/or interlock.. Relitavely a cheap repair prospect.. I would get an engineer to look at it..
Use the search feature at the top of the page to search for a local engineer

If you are using the Dremmel, make sure it is on a low speed so that it cuts the plastic and doesn’t melt it

ParticipantRe: Smeg DI6012 failure
I have had one where the rubber connector that connects the pump hose to the pump bulbed and started to leak… not on this model though.

You could use a grinder or a hotknife if you are careful

ParticipantRe: Help, oven I supplied, she wants a refund
If you can prove that, then distance selling regs may not come into force… and since she has opened the packaging and installed the unit she cannot use the ‘I have changed my mind’ getout.
In this circumstance I would advise you to contact your local Trading Standards office and explain this to them.. See what they say.
I personally don’t think she has a leg to stand on.. and I think Trading Standards may back you up on this.

Did she see the cooker before purchase or was it ordered from a book or the internet?

ParticipantRe: CURRYS KNOW HOW
Here’s a scenario for you…
Currys goes to a customer of mine to look at her oven (Warranty) or (FPR).. She is told it is BER and they offer her a new machine under the insurance.
