ParticipantRe: Indesit WIDL126uk
If you have already replaced the main board … have you checked the thermistor .. I had one of these the other day where the heater would work sometimes and not others and it turned out to be the white thermister on the rear of the drum … it should measure 20k – 40k ohms when cold

ParticipantYeah… 3-4hrs is what we allow on this type .. However, if you are replacing the rear of the drum that contains new bearings, then we would only allow 1hr.

ParticipantIf you place the hot and cold pipes onto the wrong connections you will fill your machine with hot water when it should be cold.. This will cause the clothes to be washed incorrectly for the programs you choose

ParticipantThis one is not really getting that far… the machine is empty… does not really seam out of balance .. does tumble left and right, then collect a little speed but does not ramp-up to what I whould call a spin speed as such

ParticipantDoes this part of the electronics go defective often .. The motor seems to want to work in both directions, but it does not want to attempt to produce a spin speed that is above about 250 rpm

Many thanks

Same sort of problem with a Zanussi ZJ1284 .. The drum starts to tumble, then spin, but doesnt pick-up speed then cuts out…. Does anyone have any idea where they have hidden the “Unbalance Detection Device” on this machine?

ParticipantRe: washing machine unable to do a 60 degree wash ?
Is this a new machine ❓
➡ If the machine has both pipes fitted check that the Hot is actually turned on… Another thing is… If it is turned on, make sure that the pipe connection is actually creating a flow, sometimes the knob will turn but the center of the connection will not actuate so you will get no water.
➡ If the machine is not new… Check that the hot water inlet is working
➡ Should the other two resloves not be the answer.. I would suggest the heater

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint Electronic 800 Delux 9526 – not cleaning
Also, the heater may not be working as previouly suggested; If this is the case, check the front glass of the machine whilst in WASH MODE to check if the machine is accepting water from the HOT pipe and not just washing the clothes in cold water.

ParticipantRe: Most ridiculous part price
Servis XL6 Washer – Not expensive
Replacement bearings cost – £113.50 + vat

ParticipantCorrect, I was wrong, the pressure switch does not affect the switch/lock operation of this machine.
