    Re: Fault Code Guide

Sorry, just sitting here drinking a whisky and pondering the old days of repairing TV’s and thinking to myself about this Fault Code Guide…. Many moons ago, hmm hmmm!!,there was a fault guide for TV’s, unfortunately the old grey cells wont allow me the recall of its title, however, this TV faults guide after a few years became a CD Database rather than a book and this CD Database was home editable.. ie. you could add your own faults and repairs to it… I know it is a bit of a far cry since we are all far too busy to do it ourselves, but has anyone given thought to applying this practice to our current Fault Code Guide… Either Online or CD… Where we could pay for access and add errors or simply buy the CD like we buy the book… This would give a massive advantage to the ageing memories of a few of us.

Maybe if this had been an electrical part this happy customer would have saved all that money and more.. because maybe he would never have needed a washer ever again.

Are they also suggesting ‘by offering-up prices of elements’ that the general public should be changing electrical parts too… wiring etc… with no prior testing of the parts… I have had elements that have been supplied to me NEW that have failed insulation tests and therefore could give someone a shock or worse if they didn’t know what they were doing.

Well, I just had a word with my friend Cher at Qualtex to ascertain the length of their guarantees… With excetion of the obvious: like stretch belts, bags etc. Cher tells me that Ang has quoted 6 months for their spare parts guarantees..

I’ve had a few that have had the chip blown, and I’ve changed the chip quite tidily on some of the boards but something else must go at the same time because the replacement chip alone has never repaired a board for me.

    Re: Anyone recognise this board?

Thanks guys… I had a look around to see if there was any form of tell-tale given your responses.. I found a host of WMA64 stuff that we stripped a couple of weeks ago and the board was missing from that box so I am presuming this is the one…

    Cheers

Yes, the machine worked perfect for about a month, but now like I said, it just sits there after its first tumble, as if it is waiting for the water to heat

Nope… The brushes are absolutely like new .. I am presuming that it is a module fault but just wondered if anyone has any other ideas
