Make & Model affected: Hotpoint VTD, Indesit IS60, Proline TDV & SLE
Symptom: Start button depressed allows the machine to work but when released the machine stops because the Relay PCB is not operating. This is also evident by watching the connection side of the switch where a spark will be seen when the Start button is released.

I too got a notice like that… I just ignored it… Although I sell tv’s and computers I do not have a digital signal coming into the building and the equipment wont receive their programs without a digital signal anymore… Tell them to F/O as I did… Not heared anything since.

Have you checked which of the wires is providing a possitive feed to the inlet valves and then trace it back to make sure that it is not receiving a supply from an alien source?

Have you checked that the electrics are actually switching on the P/S using a continuity tester

Is the P/S making the appropriate clicking sounds as you blow into it .. ie. 1, 2, or 3 clicks as it is staging

ParticipantRe: A real pain in the neck.
Sorry to hear about you neck probs.. I have experienced that in the past… not nice at all. I had pulled a muscle in the side of my neck and was intermittantly in spasm for a week and a half.
