You might find that Qualtex QUAMTR213 will fit at around £20

I have only ever seen this sort of thing on Indesit widxl range machines and the source of the problem there was the interlock

Switch off and unplug the machine, take off the panel underneath the door and if there is any water you should be able to see it there.

All light flashing is usually a capacitor on the main pcb

Could be that during your move you have inadvertently caused a spillage in the base and tripped the flood protection.

Switch off, drain away or soak up the water and reset

Agreed… But, the quality of the components for that sealed drum would denote the lifespan… Notwithstanding this, the problem of coin damage and trapped items could still render a drum useless if sealed.

DrDill wrote:The reason for my post is that unless the bearings fail it doesn’t matter whether the drum is sealed or not. The OP is suggesting that machines with sealed drums will have early bearing failure and then be BER, i dont think that is true at all. So to advise anyone not to buy a sealed drum machine would not be right at all.

As a matter of fact, bearings are not the only problems with sealed drums. I went to a 3 day old Bosch washer the other day with a two pence piece peering through a hole on the front end of the base. Unfortunately, the drum was a sealed unit and therefore couldn’t be repaired.

Nowadays, reuse takes precedence over recycling, and sealed drums are making a mockery of this endeavour.

Nobody so far has mentioned a thought of whether the sealed drum brigade did this on purpose to force the purchase of a new machine upon failure of any drum part. (Just to throw you a spanner or two)

If you are working on appliances then you should check all service part of the machine… othwise at your perril you may miss another fault that would blow the board that you have just replaced… But you should know this if you are working on appliances.

Yes the board will need configuring.

Sounds like after 7 years of hard labour you need to get the brushes in the motor changed.
