    My personal take on this is that someone has quite clearly bought the wrong appliances for that particular installation and the correct ones need to be obtained. End of. It’s not as if a couple of grand here and there is going to make much difference anyway. Whilst an interesting exercise in electrical theory, I would just bat it right back to them.
    Just my two penn’orth….

    Side panels don’t come off. You should be able to get enough slack on the cables by releasing the cable tie that pokes through the back of the machine. Don’t pull too hard on the cables or they could come apart. Do them one at a time and keep hold of the end as you disconnect them.
