Re: Hotpoint / Creda tumble dryers not heating

My understanding is the temperature is controled by the thermistor and the yellow (now red) stat is a safety cut out. I wasn’t aware of any other stat on the Hotpoint washer dryer.

Won’t it spin on wash if the tacho coil comes off?

Re: Hotpoint / Creda tumble dryers not heating

    No probs 🙂

It’s because they are tripping all the time – for no apparent reason. Some customers have had it trip 3 or 4 times. In my original post I did mention washer dryers though 😉

Or are they just (as I suspect) crap? I’m expecting a modification any time soon, either to change it to a resettable stat or raising the cut out temperature.

I suspected that the cut out temperature needed raising and that’s what has happened.

The problem was that they are a one shot device and the dryer stops working when they tripped.

Part number 1605160 – red spot stat for the Hotpoint washer dryers. It now trips at a higher temperature.

Thanks, I am indeed. Should have made it clear.

As far as I know it is replaced and 10 degrees higher but I can’t confirm as yet. I am also assuming it is the same part number and once yellow spots run out you will get red. I will try to confirm.

I had similar fault where a washing machine was turning off the socket switch with the drain hose pressed against it when on spin. Yours is a good one.

Modifaction arrived. It’s replaced by a red spot stat which trips at a higher temperature.

    Re: Routeplanner/measuring tool

What about if you had say a dozen or more engineers and a very large area? Is there software that can have say over 100 post codes for jobs booked in on a particular day and divide them efficiently amongst the engineers? I reckon specialist (very expensive) software would be needed to cope with that.

Is there any software that’s as good as Autoroute 2005 but can handle multiple engineer’s runs and take into account timed calls?

Re: Hotpoint WF440P washes for 4 hours – no error codes

    Hi

If the heater is open circuit, my experience has been that the Indesit’s and Hotpoint’s machine will not fill or empty and is basically dead apart from the door interlock and lights. That’s why I didn’t check the heater. I don’t know if the WF440 range is different?
