Thanks for that, Bryan; I think that this customer is going to leave the facia as is until the next problem…. :rolls: …. then he’ll scrap it.
Wind up the egg timer and wait for the ‘ping’…….. 😆

Have you tried a new interlock? (You didn’t mention that in your list of suspects). 😉

    Re: Baumatic BDW13 dishwasher.

Anyone know who supplies Baumatic parts and how they relate to their Haier counterparts? The heater element shown on Connections is completely different to the one fitted in this dishwasher. 😕
The heater resembles the Indesit ‘L’ shaped type and goes from the front right corner of the machine to the back right corner then at right angles to the left.
    Any ideas??

    Thanks,

    Steve.

Isn’t this demonstrating what we all secretly think when faced with a Merloni product? Shame he’s slagging off the last decent Hotpoint machine they ever made!
    Otherwise, a class act!!

    Bl**dy hell – 😯 😯 …..And I would assume that’s trade not retail!! 😯 😯
Do they do a white plastic alternative to that 18 carat gold one??
Honestly, if Merloni was a horse, you’d shoot the thing and put it out of its misery. Well, I was on the money……hunk of junk….. :snig:.

Thanks anyway, Chris – I think I’m going to have to get a Masterpart account now: Connections has gotten a bit useless since its facelift a couple of months ago.

Can’t find that number on Connections – :hmm:
I’ve tried all combinations of C00116659 and no luck. Is this a sign??

Re: Getting the belt on the tension pulley – Hpt condenser d

I agree with Jim – Did my first belt fitting with this tool on Saturday and I have to say, the special tool with the 2 pins is a breeze to use. A must for the toolkit! 10 – 15 mins for the whole job is quite possible. Anyway, a large tool with a rubber end and 2 extra bits is every man’s dream – go for it!!! 😀

Re: old belling. who has these hinges for top oven

If the hinges are not broken but are not pulling the door shut tight, it is possible to correct the problem.
Strip the door and release the springs to the hinge carriage (the part with the rollers on it). With a rat- tail file, file the slot in the frame upwards about 5-6 mm on the inner and outer part of the frame keeping it the same dimension all the way. Test by pushing the hinge up to check the rollers don’t bind at any point in the slot. Repeat for the other hinge on the other side of the frame. When the springs are refitted, the hinge tangs should be leaning towards the top of the door. Refit the door to test: file slots more if required. Grease the slots and reassemble. Refit the door.
Easy enough job to do; I did quite a few like this in the past, all worked OK. 8)

    Re: Ariston KLS61SUK Not Heating

If both your heaters are showing the same resistance (ie: continuity) then the problem is in the supply to the heater. If the thermostats are tested for continuity and found to be OK, then the door wiring (at the hinge) could be at fault.
That leaves just the timer. Burnt and intermittent switches inside dishwasher timers (especially during the heating phase) are common.
If you need a timer, try the parts service – click on the banner.

Power off when testing – stay alive!! 😀

    Re: Diplomat (854500215820) dishwasher.

Didn’t work, I’m afraid – do these flow meters fail? Are they available separately? Machine started perfectly and ran for 40 mins then ‘beep beep’ F7!!! I’ve just binned one of these ADP8332’s early last week – only scrapped as the outlet hose from the wash pump was holed and the customer wouldn’t pay for a motor. Everything else was known working!!! 😈
Ain’t it always the way…….. :rolls:
Any other ideas as I’m starting to hyperventilate!!!!!
