    Re: Diplomat APM8521 Washer

    Capacitors should be 20uF and 16uF…….. 😕

Module is a DMPA type and is readily available from Tony at EMW.

But before you order a replacement module, disconnect the heater first and try it on spin with a load in the drum. Earth leakage from the heater will cause no spin faults; so will a slack belt.

    Hope that helps,

    Steve.

E36 is the anti – boiling switch fault on EWM3000 pcbs as well. Main board is the answer.

Configured PCB is available for that model – 97391460212901/2. Beware there is also a non – configured as well – don’t get caught out!!

    HTH,

7 beeps is flowmeter not detected. There are several ways to sort this. (in order of expense……)

    1) Remove the left side panel and disconnect the flowmeter plug. Clean the contacts on the little PCB, crimp the plug with pliers gently to tighten it. Refit and test. I’ve done dozens like this and it was just down to poor or oxidised contacts and a loose plug.

    2) Remove the little PCB and replace the reed switch with one from Maplins. Solder it on and refit.

    3) Buy new airbox with the flowmeter fitted. 😯

    Hope that helps,

    Steve.

    Steven

You can get there at 2pm if you like……. 😆
4 o’clock is better as you can get a mornings work in before you leave so you haven’t lost a whole day. Staying overnight is up to you though – if the talking goes on until late (it often does) then you may be too knackered to drive home.

Agree with Allsorts – deffo drier element with an earth fault. I had exactly the same fault last week with exactly the same machine. 😉

This model is still on the Neff parts site……… 😯

Old part numbers – 052893 and 082351. Both replaced by 481828.

    Expensive but still available…..like Cheryl Cole……. 😆

    Hope that helps,

    Re: Whirlpool AWM 336

If the bearings have gone to that degree, then you need to strip it down before you buy anything and look at the condition of the drum shaft. If the bearings have broken up, it is very likely that the shards of metal will have scored the sealing collar on the spider shaft and therefore the seal will not work. ANY damage to the collar renders the shaft scrap. New drum spider (at Whirlpool’s prices!!) would not be viable.

    Hope that helps,

Is it the thin tacho magnet with the square centre hole?
