Thanks Pip and Pgs. the cooling fan at the top is working fine.
As for the stat it’s a genuine one. As far as i know? it came in a box with a hotpoint label on it?
I’ll try a safety stat and see if that does the trick.
Thanks for your help.
much appreciated.

Hi, Still having problems with this oven. I’ve changed the thermostat, fitted a new element and door seal. The oven doesn’t seem to be getting hot enough. Anyone else come across this?
Thanks.

Hi, I’m still having problems with this machine. after filling for a rinse instead of going into a distribute it does a very fast spin knocking the machine around the floor. it does this a couple of times then stops. I’ve had the board checked. That’s ok. checked for loose wiring, the motor is ok too. I’m Baffled. Anyone else had the same problem?
Thanks

Thanks Bryan, but the machine has never done this before. After it has filled for the rinse, it surges into spin and throws the machine across the floor.Strange?

Hi Chaps, Thanks for your help. sorted that one. It was the economy button. However, it’s now on the rinse cycle and surges into a spin rather than a tumble.I’ve checked motor plug for loose connections and where it goes to the board. That all seems ok. Haven’t checked brushes yet. any other ideas? most gratefull. Thanks.

Hi Dopper, thanks for your reply. I’ll have to ask her about that one.
Like a lot of other customers, they all say; “Well it never did that before you changed the???”
Thanks
