Hi, thanks for your reply. The appliance works fine it’s only a couple of months old. They just seemed a bit concerned about it.
    Many thanks.

Hi Lawrence, Thanks for your help, i have heard about the interlocks on these machines. just wanted to know if there may have been anything else that could have caused the board to blow. The machine is only just over 12 months old. I’ll change the interlock and check all other parts before i change it again. Thanks.

Re: Hotpoint Washing Machine Mod. WF740

Hi, Just had main PCB back from EMW. Put it back on machine, set programm to drain as soon as i pressed the start button it blew again. Before i sent the board away, the machine was just filling continuously.Unable to cancel or reset program. Any ideas what caused the board to blow in the first place? I’m worried about fitting another board untill i know what caused the problem.
    Thanks for your help.

Hi, Does someone have a wiring diagram for the main PCB please? The customer thought he was being helpful by removing the pcb before i arrived. Unfortunatly he didn’t make a note of the connections.
    Many thanks.

Hi Alan, Thanks for your reply. it has new brushes in it. I sold it as a recon machine. I used the machine several times myself before i sold it. I never had any problems with it at all. I haven’t got an instruction manual for it though.
    Thanks

    Re: Hotpoint washer Mod FEW10

Hi, I’ve had a look at this machine. the door interlock led is flashing. sometimes it will start a program, then stop again soon after and the door lock led starts flashing again. I did try another lock without success. I did notice after several attempts that the active led stayed on and the program end led was flashing. I’ve checked the wiring from interlock and that’s ok.Managed to get in on a spin program, then aborted a few seconds later.tried a component test programme, got as far as step 5 pressed start and wouldn’t do anything. Help!
    Thanks.

Hi, went back to this oven last sat and moved the oven stat from underneath the element to the top of the oven. The customer phoned yesterday and said it’s now working fine. Does anyone know if Creda has modified this at all? I’d be interested to know.
    Thanks.

Hello, Me again with this oven.
I’ve noticed with this oven, unlike others i’ve worked on, that the thermostat is directly under the element. would this be causing the stat to cut in prematurely? A lot of ovens the stat seems to be at the top and the other side of the plate that covers the fan blades.
    Thanks again.

Thankyou Bryan And seamy for your reply. I haven’t checked the tempreture as yet.
I’m assuming the element i replaced was of the same wattage. It was a genuine one. I’m a bit confused as to what is happening. I’ll get a thermometer and check the temp.
    Thankyou both for your help.
    Ashby.
