ParticipantRe: The cheek of the bloke!
Where do you buy your stickers from? and how much do you pay?
I`m interested in the clear ones.
Always thought about it but never got round to it.

If I were her, I`d be requesting he came back and removed all the stickers and residue from the appliances.
What a brass neck!!
I even hate it when I have to open someones cupboard next to the appliance to find the plug.

I certainly would invoice them but you may have more chance of nailing blancmange to the ceiling than getting paid. 😆

If it has anything to do with it I had been a whitegoods engineer for 15 years and didn`t think I needed to know about detergents until I did the UKW detergent course. Doesn`t mean I couldn`t repair appliances, but now I can give the customers advice on cleaning their clothes and machines and they`re impressed with the advice they get.
As they say…. Every day is a school day.

ParticipantRe: Card Payments
I did say average rates.
I claimed to be a memebr of an association and I too got good rates about 1.5{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} and £15 but I don`t think they will give you that if you are just starting.
They ask questions like “how much will you take in cards?” which is difficult to answer if you`re just starting.
All in all it`s worth it in the end. 33{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of my turnover is in cards now and they are far better than cheques as you are assured your money.

ParticipantRe: Card Payments
Afraid not. What I do is phone the shop with the customer`s card and do it as a customer not present. This needs special authorisation from the bank but doesn`t cost anything more.
I`ve never looked into mobile terminals but I think there was a thread on them earlier this year.

ParticipantRe: Card Payments
It`s a standalone service but shop around coz the rates they charge differ greatly. And when they do offer you a rate tell them you`ve been offered it cheaper elsewhere.
Average rates are about £19 per month rental. 2-2.5{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} for credit cards and 25p-40p for debit cards.
