What I would ask is does the word Whitegoods mean a great deal to the general public? Do they realise their appliances are refered to as whitegoods? Maybe something using domestic appliances would be more recognisable.

from what I can see on the hotpoint disc is that there are 2 different ones.
Either a digital motor or an analogue motor.
The difference seems to be that if your machine has a seperate timer and module then it`s analogue and you need 1604812 and if its digital with combined microprocessor timer and module you need 1604822.
i would think a wm31 would be digital.
If you are replacing a GDA motor then you will need a fixing kit as well. 1604976.

I think that what you will find is that for your 4 free envelopes a fortnight(roughly £1) your address will be sold to marketing companies and you`ll get inundated with junk mail.

These belts were always snapping. They have now been changed to 9 ribbed belts.
The front of the machine comes off then I put the belt round the drum(barely fits) and then with a long screwdriver I feed it between the drum and belt then put the end of the screwdriver under the motor pulley and push down forcing the belt along the screwdriver and onto the pulley.
I then clean the blood off my hands and arms and nip to the hospital for stitches 😆
