    Re: Ruddy Samsung!!!

    Hi Bryan,
Nothing at all happens when I push the test switch and all the pins in the plug are aligned. Yes I`ve replaced the whole icemaker.

I was thinking that the pins in the plug are not making a very good contact. What I`m thinking is that the icemaker I replaced was not faulty and that checking the plug at the same time as replacing it has cleared the fault showing up on the daignostics but now some other pins are not making proper contact.

I would have thought that if the main PCB was faulty it would show up a fault condition.

If I knew what condition the switches were supposed to be in to let water through then I could check this at the main PCB and again on the icemaker plug inside the freezer and this would rule out or in the contacts at the door hinge. I checked the test switch at the PCB and it was operating but this was before I replaced the icemaker. I need to check this again, but it would be good to be able to check the switches as well.

    Hi,
Just typed “belsynergie” into connect and it came up with this STV082614366 and there`s a picture.

    Re: Contract Work Rates

    I dont know…….

I do calls for a fair few service providers and I don`t agree with what`s been written before…

The lowest rate I get is £32 and That is £8 below my private call charge but…..

I am the only one that does service calls in my bunsiness. I have delivery drivers and shop staff but that`s irrelevant. I have absolutely no intention of stocking parts for them all( well i just could not). but what I do do is only do a few postcodes which are in a very local area and therefore going back to fit a part is not a problem and i can work it in with my normal calls.

The main point I have in my favour is that I am very well established in my area, having been in business for 15 years, that I don`t have to take warranty work, but it is a very good sideline for paying the bills.

You have to make your own decision but don`t put all your eggs in one basket. Dont make your business rely on any one or two service providers.

At the moment I do work for 7 SP`s but if they all pulled the plug I have enough work to make a living.

This is probably very long winded and I`m sure people will have another opinion but you have to take advise from all quarters.

The one major point I would make is if you do take on a Service Provider is give them a Credit Limit and STICK TO IT!

    Re: New Machine… 1

Having now received the email and read it I have to say I`m impressed. It almost sounds too good to be true.

The big question that I have to ask, and I`m sure everyone else is thinking is how much is it going to retail for and what margin are we as retailers going to make on it?

The worrying thing is if we don`t make enough on retailing this machine and it doesn`t break down then where do we make our money?… and on the other hand, if we make it too expensive then we price ourselves out of the market as Dyson did.

Just a few queries, and I hope this doesn`t come across as negative.

Re: Latch for LG WD1045FH required (not entire door assembly

Mmmmm…… I`d watch that then cause I`ve bought just the handle before.

The picture on connect is just the handle but……

It makes more sense to sell it as a kit but then when did sense come into it?

This was a known problem and there is a new dispenser to fix the problem, someone on this site will know the part number for the new one.
