    yep great advice don no problems with appliance advice,but you should be aware of trade description,you say it’s sunny exeter,well not in exmouth it’s not overcast and cold [sorry couldn’t resist]regard’s nige 🙁 😈

    when I was an apprentice [a few weeks ago now]an old advisery of ours said in this trade son if someone say’s their busy all the time there lying it’s got to go quiet sometime’s clever old boy that one.enjoy the the breather,get ready for the next rush, be happy 😉 and remember the nature of this trade is to clear call’s as quick and professionaly as poss so you don’t normally get week’s of work left on the go

    on the front of the fridge is a large kick plate,remove this by gently prising off, and check to see if the pipework at the front right is blocked with hair etc , this is called the condensor and would make the compressor run for long periods if blocked

    try looking at fridge door switch if the door is misaligned the fan will not run also check green thermistor is working correctly as this controls fan when temp in freezer below -11 hope this helps i had exactly the same fault yesterday regards nige ps mine was door switch 😀

    sound’s like water leak into base activating float causing drain pump to run,i’d look at pumps for leakage hope this helps regard’s nige 🙂

    it sounds as if the flame failure device has failed this is quite easy to repair and must be done by corgi qualified engineer approx cost £80 -£100 regards nigel 🙂

    just as young Mr Conway say’s tech info useless , they asked me to fit oven conversion kit to single oven their engineer is going to give me a ring as it wont fit!!!!!!!!!only 7 months iv’e been waiting,noah was quicker but i’m not bitter 😆 p.s it wont fit unless you know of a silverback kitchen fitter he’ll get it in!!!!

    check the dispenser coil coz this can affect the p.c.b. if its o/c 🙂

    In the instruction book for smeg fab28 u js4,it states ambient working temperatures should be:s/n [subnormal]+10- +32:n [normal]+16-+32:s/t [subtropical]+18 – +38 t[tropical]+18 – +43 I new i had seen it somewhere I hope this help’s even though you can stick this info under a customer’s nose and we will still be wrong all the best Nige[I know this is for smeg but it does apply across the rest nigh on]. :mrgreen:
