Martin everything meters ok ie correct resistances but no power on dry from board, board and components visually checked but no apparent damage,and the m/c works fine on wash but no dry nige

cheers clayside,I had checked heater and n.t.c on first visit but customer called me back,but before I got there it repaired itself!! but thanks once again it’s good to go in mob handed,regards nige

as penguin has said this is a complex appliance,the interlock does some processes in conjunction with the elecronics so it is not alway’s possible just to meter it,it also has a diagnostic’s prog so an engineer is most probably your best bet and cheaper sorry

is the switch damaged?you may find once the door hinge has been replaced,it will operate,it is also poss the arm has got stuck and it is poss to put fine driver through socket and gently pull it back,[turn m/c off first} otherwise as previous use workmate one man job not difficult

unplug appliance and lean back at 45 degrees,at the rear of the motor is a round piece called a tacho unit if this has become loose or detached the m/c will either jump all over the place or quicken the wash times,if this part cannot be put back on, you may have to replace as a kit or complete motor,an engineer in your area may be your best bet!

I used a neon driver once,when I got off the floor with my eye’s and nad’s going round like a tic tac toe machine I vowed never to use one again,found that the resistor lead had broken,so it was like putting 6 inch nail straight into main’s,but i’m okay now luckily i just glow in the dark,remember guy’s what we do is dangerous :colour:

check the pcb coz the relay to board joint fails bit of solder and of we go i’m sure there’s a thread to this Dave but can’t fint it 🙂

it sounds as if the battery cell is becoming blocked with ice,similar fault to most modern frost free’s,when either the heater fails or sensor’s fail ,also see if the defrost timer is working ,if battery becomes blocked the fan’s cannot force air into fridge hthus it warms up 🙂 regards nige

whoop’s sorry expertcat it was not my intention to upset ‘x’ expert engineer’s[or anyone else for that matter ,not my style] only to say i have the unenviable task to go in after some one else ,it is a hard enough job with out some one slagging other’s off 😳 nige p.s. thank’s for advice
