    good info Martin, i personly now use a plugin watt/amp meter for the ones i can gain access to the plug top, use it for checking heaters and the wattage of fridge freezers on forced defrost, the clamp meter is just used now and then, but please keep on with the info as if is usefull to those who are willing to learn. 😉

    check that the drum band brush is touching the insulated band and that the insulationbetween the tub and band is still insulating.(it tends to warp)

    there is a front duct stat on them also, front off for access.

    Hi jim,
    if you changed the thermostat then its one of two things, 1. short of refrigerant, test the temp of the cold wall with a temp probe if its not getting past -12 the stat will not switch off. 2. the cappilary plastic tube holder as detached from the evaporator internaly, again the above test will conferm this if the cold wall is below -16 the stat wll cut off.
