treat yourself to the TDS disc. It’s packed full of info on all Electrolux machines. It is available from Connect at a very good price.

    DSTDVD2006V2 £20.00 and it’s a stock item.

Dave, you may have rectified the fault without realising. eg perhaps a bad connection to the heater. Unless you reset the control it will still show the error code,

Quote from the ‘known error code’ page..

“Some of these faults are locked in and will return even if machine is disconnected, the only way to clear them is to run the test programme. Hold in Pre wash and soak button while turning rotary knob to gentle spin”

Re: Getting the belt on the tension pulley – Hpt condenser d

I’ve done two or three 9 rib belts without a problem.

I wonder if they might be actually easier to fit than the 7 rib…

Are they perhaps a weaker belt with more stretch and the extra width is to give a higher surface area to give a better friction for less tension???

Price is a bit steep at £29.00

I normally manage to get the vented dryer belts on without too much problem. A bit of elbow grease and a deep 13mm socket over the shaft helps.

There’s another version of this topic going around somewhere…

My tool is so simple. I use a junior hacksaw with the blade removed. Use the handle of the hacksaw as a hook and pull the belt over the jockey pulley. It takes seconds and it’s a tool already in your tool box.

Check that the machine tumbles in both directions. Very common to have a faulty relay (or solder connection) on the board.

Check for a chaffed wire on the wiring harness by the motor..

Did you meggar the machine? I don’t know the wiring for this machine but it might be switched in the neutral and an earth fault may be causing the fault.

Have you checked the pressure switch or an earth fault on the heater?

Had one today. The machine had been in use for a year and had been purchased from a local dealer (ha!). The fault today was worn brushes and a noisy pump. The interlock had been bypassed by removing the two amp tags and twisting the bare wires together and insulating with a piece of gaffer tape 😯 .

The timer was blown so I wrote the machine off. Much to the upset of the 70 year old customer… but to the delight of her nephew who was looking after her.

He (the nephew) is off to the local dealer tomorrow with his baseball bat 😀
