    K.
really ? i thought it was just the same thing , ie inability to contact / stay in touch , otherwise I would have included the fact that I had the same experience when I foolishly decided to apply for amica work too last year , though thought better to chasing that one up .

Oh dear , communication really doesn’t seem to be very good from ISE . From a different perspective, I applied in April 2009 to become involved in providing service for ISE and at the same time , repairs@ . After a long period of nothingness , and various enquiries chasing my application , I was as good as told I hadn’t sent my applications in a very patronising way . Probably a month later, out of the blue , mysteriously my applications were both found under a pile of papers on Kens desk .

Are they physically snapping on the collar , or is the ” D ” shaft rounding ? If they are snapping, it is usually due to too much force pushing them on the shaft ( shaft should be nice and free ) , and also make sure the spring clip that sits around the shaft is fitted ( as well as the circlip that prevents it shooting of the end of the shaft .If there is no spring clip there , check inside the ducting .
Other than that , failure is generally down to blocked or partially blocked , or overlong , ducting runs

these units also have a habit of ice building up around the element and sensor plugs , forcing the plugs from the sockets – bit of silicone or thin cable tie will hold them in place if this is the case

The damper plate has a foam tape strip around the edge , and I have had this come adrift and jam the works before now, so might be quite a simple fix .
    hope that helps

does the cooling fan on the compressor still run ?

cant find that model , but if it has a damper behind the evap cover ( to blow cold air up to the fridge ) , check this is operating freely – when power is established , it should rotate couple of times, if not, unit will shut down .( they can jam or just fail )

worth checking there are no restrictions in the tube or upper spray arm causing back pressure, which will blow these apart

there is a small switch below the front board , accesible from the front if you bend and look where the water / ice outlets are ; this switches ice off so poss inadvertently switched this when replacing board ( or pulled wire off behind facia ) ?
