As for ringing the local agent – I do not consider that to be my job because as far as I am concerned in this case he is contracted by ISE and not me!

You know, I can’t help asking myself why you are being so evasive, so obstreperous even in all of this? Whilst on the one hand you readily accept that your local ISE agent to be trustworthy. That kwatt has explained, at some great length I might add, the unfortunate situation with regard to the part availability, the trouble attempting contacting you and loss of emails and so on. Furthermore you have been assured that the part has been sent to the agent and should indeed have it in his possession. Yet at the vital point in the story, and coincidentally I might add, your phone line goes down. Exacerbating yet further a quick resolve.

How cannot any right thinking person, having waded through this endless tale, conclude that you, mumof6, are deliberately being, as I said earlier, obstreperous to this whole issue?

Is this a game you are playing all the while because sure as hell is hot that appears to be the case here? 👿

Martin , I have seen some ridiculous posts from you over the years , but this takes the biscuit .
Are you suggesting that for any service call you make that needs parts ordering , you advise your customers they have to ring you in x days to find out if you have them and arrange revisit ? ( assuming you ever bother to order them in the first place ?)

Come on mumof6 you must surely have made contact by now since the part is with your trusted ISE agent AND your phone is now fully functional. Please tell us the good news…..

Why on earth should MO6 have to run around after this ? With the “service” she has experienced , the very least she deserves is a call from the agent , and surely ISE should have made sure that happened last week when spares were dispatched ?

Machine aside , the op had an engineer diagnose fault and apparently order parts , it then took well over a month to realise parts hadn’t been ordered !
then parts have finally been sourced , dispatched last tuesday but to date the customer has heard nothing ?

I haven’t worked on any of these units , but they look like the interlock set up may be the same style as the ipso . good luck and let us know how it goes 😀

    Re: comercial machines

if it is something like an ipso machine , they have hefty interlocks with microswitches on them . if the door gets slammed continually , this can bend operating levers out of position , preventing the striker hitting the switch . once removed, it is usually quite obvious how the sequence of latching should go , and should be easy enough to adjust back to working .

If the botch was done by the same person that installed the gas , then I would think it qualifies for a report to riddor , http://www.hse.gov.uk/riddor/guidance.htm#gas , and at the very least an immediately dangerous form for the gas

I would check the black grid in the filter sump ( level switch ) .boiling water and a toothbrush , then flush through a few times .

really ? i thought it was just the same thing , ie inability to contact / stay in touch , otherwise I would have included the fact that I had the same experience when I foolishly decided to apply for amica work too last year , though thought better to chasing that one up .

    I wouldn’t.

But since you seem intent on having this conversation in public…

You sent in the form for repairs@ by snail mail and it went astray. Yes, it was eventually found but quite when it arrived we don’t know.

You applied for the Amica work and heard when it actually started but, it appears that this wasn’t good enough for you and you decided to then decline the work. The fact is there was a few months between the applications and the actual setup and start of it. That was entirely your decision.

But, funnily enough, nobody else had any communication about it in that time either.

The short of it is that, if there’s nothing to actually communicate then there’s little point in sending out any form of media that says, “hello, we know you’re still there but we’ve not got anything to tell you that wasn’t the same as it was yesterday” or week, or month, or whatever.

    K.

    Nope, I turned down ise / repair@ work due to those experiences ;
Amica ? well since johns last e mail dated 1/10 saying he would visit me before xmas ,,,, nothing heard since . weather has been bad, i accept, but e mail or phone call ?
