Re: ancient washer Electra AWF682 drain pump

The original pump was 481936018139 ( just remembered that) and that comes up on qualtex but with a special order
**just googled that number and someone on amazon has one available**

That is an old Philips made machine. If you look for a pump to suit model awb082 you should be in luck. Connect show one but special order, I am sure others should have one also.

Are registrations now closed? I am trying to register to attend, yet unable to get any response other than a message stating “sales ended”

What is the water pressure like? A low water pressure will allow water to seep past the diaphragm in the solenoid and my guess would be this.

Perhaps someone could advise how to join the WTA? I applied in March, followed by 3 seperate enquiries to 3 different people, and have had no response to anything yet… perhaps I have been unfortunate

Minimum requirements, driving licence ( minimal points considered), with ability to work unsupervised on washers, dryers, dishwashers and electric cooking, also 1st line refrigeration. Further skills an advantage.
Please contact either by pm or email eddie.pritlove@btvc.co.uk

Just to add, would consider part time for the right candidate

    Re: CDA FWC150ss

If the fan and compressor are both running ( and not cutting out)then it sounds like a system fault- gas leak or restriction in the sealed system and will need specialist repairs. It wont be the sensor unless you are also getting error codes in the digital display

    I have a CDA FWC150ss wine cooler.
It gets cold on the outside but is hot on the inside.
I’ve taken all the covers off I can & gave it a good vacuum to clear all the dust but it still will not cool on the inside. It goes up to max temp, think this is 18c

    Think this maybe the thermostat??

    Thanks for any advice.

    Regards
    Dave
Is the compressor running? If so, check if the cooling fan behind the compressor is running – it should run whenever the compressor runs. If the compressor isn’t running but the fan is, it may be the compressor that is failed…these are probably the 2 most likely things

Wow, that’s a blast from the past. Must have taken hundreds of them to pieces over the years
