    Re: True commercial freezer

    Often easier, they usually have the compressor on top of the cabinet, and the fan will be adjacent to it

    Re: Samsung RSA1WTMH Fridge/freezer noisy fan.

    The back panel in the freezer is in 2 pieces; if you take the screws out of the top section, it is also “clipped” in along the edges ( look along the edge for arrow heads, gently lever out from there)..depending on the version, there may be screws behind the light diffuser. It will be obvious straight away if it is blown polystyrene. If not, you will then need to dismantle further panels and fan etc, but still easy enough to do.
    Good luck

    that did used to be a problem, however if the evap was iced up, it is unlikely the temperature would be ok in fridge;
    either way, easy fix

    If you remove the top cover, you will probably find the polystyrene backing to it has blown, making frozen drops of water/polysytrene catch on the fan blade- temp fix by slicing affected lumps away, and easy job to replace cover ( there are few different versions of cover, so make sure you get full model and serial number)

    Sorry to be pedantic, but the L6 was the hot and cold fill machine and that used the electric pump, the L5 series ( cold fill only ) used the mechanical pump…. must have fitted hundreds of the things 😆

    tj5793 wrote:As above the thermal cut out should not be moved if you do there will be no protection for the defrost. Has the thermal fuse failed? Is the fan motor working ok? The yellow wired sensor should be replaced for a black end one as they have problems with moisture ingress in the sensors also if you order a new one the wires will be longer to move it to the left hand side.

    If, as is stated, it is an RS21, the sensor will already be on the left hand side of the evaporator

    Re: Samsung RS21DGrs

    Unless that “sensor” has 2 yellow wires, you need to refit it to original position asap ; on the rs21, the only component at the bottom r/h side ( cable tied at the back of the evaporator) is the thermal fuse, and if you have put this where you state, is not going to protect the appliance.
    the moving of sensor relates to the later RSH1 series, and involves moving the defrost sensor (2 yellow wires) from top right to top left of the evaporator

    Re: Samsung RSH1DTMH

    On the top of the fridge, there is a service panel with couple of pcbs. the small square one has a mains fuse on it , which can blow if the internal fridge or freezer bulb blows…. most likely this. later units have the fuse integrated within main board, and not as likely to blow just for a bulb.
    Good luck
