    Thanks Don,
I think their origins are Italian, did find that link but couldn’t get a lot out of it . The unit was supplied and installed by a uk kitchen fitting company ( now out of business ) So fingers crossed someone may know of a UK outlet somewhere .
    Thanks again

Re: Newer samsung fridges, fan iced up

If you disconnected the power when clearing the ice, these will go into defrost when power restored before compressor and fan will kick in

Thought as much, Jim , is the board one that can be plugged straight in , if bought new, or does it need programming ?

….and using tesco own brand powder in your machine is possibly going to mean a very expensive miele service call is more likely to happen sooner than later. Like running a rolls royce on 2 stroke petrol 😆

    Re: GC2224GEKB noisey damper unit

not sure if this is one of those affected, but there are some maytags etc that had issues with ice building up and damaging the damper units ( damper trying to operate while frozen, gears stripping etc )
solution was a retrofit element on the damper housing .
hopefully someone more used to them may help

Re: post code map of edinburgh and borders ?

You will struggle getting anything half decent in the TD’s ally , trust me 😀 I use http://www.streetmap.co.uk , but the borders postcodes are ridiculous eg, the td9 code covers hawick, but also newcastleton , some 25 odd miles away .
even experience doesn’t always work there
