The symptoms you describe are of a failed jug impellor.
Search the board for jug impellor and you will get a few threads.

Most common problem is a gunged up pressure chamber and transfer pipe
assuming you have checked your inlet valve filter for any blockage.

Check out the thread below and thoroughly clean the parts mentioned.

    http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … highlight=

Next step would be to meter the valve-there is a recessed clip on the lhs of the valve
and with some encouragement with a suitable screwdriver can be accessed
Then you need to check the resistance with a meter.

Always unplug the machine before going in and if you are not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} comfortable
then use the engineer link to call someone in.

If you post the full model (ENR) number that is on the edge of the door you
    will get more specific help.

From your description though its sounds like a failed jug impellor(if it has one) or inlet valve control problem.

About £20 and straighforward to change.

The chamber with the brown gunge is almost certainly the water softener unit
(ion exchange resin) and is perfectly normal.

With the plug out you can check the resistance across the brushes and if o/c then you
    have no contact at all…..
Bosch brushes are certainly the best but you can buy laminated ones
which are prob 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} as good for around a fiver.

Sometimes the motors will get damaged when brushes fail so take the motor
out and check the commutator for any signs of scoring etc.

Much easier to do the work with the motor out of the machine.

search box top right should get you the schematics.

there is a box labelled search term on the top right

The pressure chamber is shown in the middle of the 2nd picture in the thread.

The ribbed transfer pipe runs out from it to the sump and can be pulled out
at each end for removal and cleaning.

If yours looks like the pics then after cleaning it should be like new….

    some good news…

I suspect if you clean the pressure chamber and transfer pipe as detailed
in the thread below it will also help.

Re: Bosch SGS5342GB – New PCB but water still not heating

    ouch re pcb swap….

Plug out if you intend to go in……

I assume you have checked the heater element with a meter?

If not you should get approx 25ohms with a good one.

If the pressure chamber and transfer pipe to the sump have been clogged up this can starve the flow and cause the heater to fail etc

Have you followed the burnt tracks back to the machine component that it
connects to as this can be the culprit…..

If you post the ENR for the machine then folk will be able to more specific.
Most likely you need a new jug impellor(if your model controls the water flow into the machine this way).
Plenty of threads on this as it is a common fault.

Machine at least 8years old and if this is the first repair problem then hardly
“bad” money me thinks especially for this quality of machine?

you need to input the model number into the search box to top right of screen
-it is etched into the door rim near the handle something like sms2002gb?

    The thread below may help.

you may have a problem with the flap motor in the heater box.

When you open the machine door is it spraying lots of water?

You may have restricted flow(blockage ie sump pipe/pressure chamber gunged up)
I believe the heater cuts out at low flow so you wouldnt get heat.

-my money is on the flap motor which is usually a heater assemble swap.

Re: Bosch WFT2800 error code 3 water supply issue

I’m afraid the likely problem is from the board.

Try tracing the wiring back to the board and check continuity.

You may also be lucky and have a loose connector or obvious dry joint.

After that its probably new machine time.
……….approx £50 to repair the board or over £100 I should think for a new one.

Re: Bosch WFT2800 error code 3 water supply issue

The fill valves will work via program time activation and also from a pressure sensor feedback connected to the main tub.
There may be other error monitoring.

The pressure sensor feed pipe can block or the sensor fail………but check the valve resistances first.
