You could try a service wash at 90 degrees and collect the drain into a large bucket……this will give you a good indication if you are furred up

Your machine is over 7 years old and if it is still running with the original pump and motor brushes you have done well.
There will be a date stamp on the pump likely 2003?A replacement Askoll is relatively inexpensive and easily available.
If it isnt the pump it has to be a blockage either side of it….and you have eliminated this possibility…right?
I think you have probably answered your own question…..buy a pump

ParticipantRe: WFL 2260
I have seen this myself on a similar model and age.
Put it down to the control board not activating the led or led itself faulty.
The machine to the best of my knowledge is still working fine though without the end led.
I would be interested myself if there is an easy fix but my own experiences
with the Bosch pcb’s usually ends up with a landfill result 🙂March 13, 2010 at 6:30 pm in reply to: Bosch Exxcell 1200 WFO2465 not spinning/rinsing just washes #314872CJAPeterborough

You could perhaps try a cold wash and see if the machine completes the cycle…..
In this case the heater isnt used I guess and it should eliminate or confirm the problem for you.The other possibility is a dodgy control board perhaps

I have been having some of my own motor problems….as posted earlier.
What is your resistance across the two brushes -are you getting a good
contact? You should also check continuity of the plug wiring -the motor plug can
loose a connection fairly easily.CJAPeterborough
ParticipantRe: Motor problem Bosch WFO2865GB
Things have improved this morning as I decided to try a pair of laminated
(slightly longer and better quality) brushes.
Also dressed the commutator with my stick of calcium (some say you should
some say you shouldnt) to shiny new copper surface. My resistance readings are now
Across the brushes 6.0ohm (varies 5.5 to 6.5 when rotating the motor by hand)
Pins 2-3 2.1ohm
Pins 4-5 6.8ohm (again varies 6.5-7.5 on rotation)
Pins 6-7 23ohmLooks like I am getting a good contact.
Starting to run some checks now but I am hopeful!

thanks for you reply
Will investigate some more tomorrow.
Luckily I have a spare motor to swap in so can eliminate
the connectors and wiring. Will strip down the dodgy motor and post back with some pics….

ParticipantRe: Motor problem Bosch WFO2865GB
thanks for the replies guys…
One of the brushes was down to maybe 5mm the other a bit longer.
I had hoped the motor would be OK as the machine was still rotating but unable to spin.I have had the brushes out twice now and convinced myself that the angle of contact is good and that they slide nicely.
The commutator is smooth and prob the best I have seen….Tried on the slowest spin with nothing in the drum same issue tries to build up and then cuts, tries again this time shorter and again and then timer to zero.
Can you tell me what the resistances across the 3 pair of connectors should be?
Is the tacho bad?Doing a search and this particular fault has been posted a few times for this model without definate conclusions so far….
thanks again

ParticipantRe: Bosch WF02464GB Drum Bearing replacement – how difficult
Well it is possible but not easy……
Complete tub will have to come out and then the tub splitsBearing set and seal likely about £40 and a day of your time.
You are also taking a chance that the machine has not suffered
other damage.Probably not worth it in the long run.

ParticipantRe: Bosh WFX2867 Carbon brush replacement
tilting froward gives you a few mm more clearance to get at the bolts
The motor sits on four spigots -two of which are bolted.Once the bolts are removed -a bit of leverage between the spigot
and the motor apertures is usually enough for the motor to come away from its mounts……..you can then investigate further

ParticipantRe: Bosh WFX2867 Carbon brush replacement
The best way to remove the motor is to tilt the machine about 45 degrees
(lean against cabinet with a towel in between for example) and access from underneath.
Removing the tear drop rear panel will give more light.
You can then remove the two 10mm bolts with a combo of spanner and socket.
Cut cable tie holding plastic shield
Remove earth cable and motor connector.
With a suitable large flat bladed spanner lever the motor away from the spigots and the motor will fall away.
Be careful as its easy to let the motor drop.you should get I believe about 4ohms across the two brushes if they are in good contact.
Easy to check and remove/replace
As always PLUG OUT……….

ParticipantRe: Bosch WAE2416S Water not heating?
Easy way to check is to do a maintenance wash at the highest temp ie 90/95
with no clothes but just a scoop of biological powder.
Can do this of course with lower temp settings but not as easy to tell at the lower temps…….30mins or so into the cycle the door glass should be pretty hot.
If it isnt then you need to check out the heating element further.CJAPeterborough
ParticipantRe: trying to fix a Bosch WTL6003GB Drier -any tips?
I can pickup a WK pump for about £25 and a belt for about £15 so will probably go ahead and fix the thing.
I have superglued the impellor end cap onto the pump but am not confident it will have any longevity.
Any tips for fitting the belt?
Looks like it will have to be fitted blind as the main support for the drum comes from the flimsy back panel….could be a real pain in the proverbial.
If I think I can make a good job with the belt then I would also fit a new pump……….no real point unless I can do both…. me thinks.
Thanks again

ParticipantRe: trying to fix a Bosch WTL6003GB Drier -any tips?
Many thanks Penguin45!
With a lot of effort and patience I have managed to remove the rear panel
Goodness me the three screws holding the central spindle were seized also and required an impact driver and lots of wd40!I have taken out the pump and it looks like the end of the pump shaft(o ring and plastic cap) had dropped off!
Absolutely terrible design…….
I can reassemble BUT I almost certain the end will drop off again within minutes of reassembling.
Can you advise a more permanent fix…..perhaps suitable glue or silicone?
It isnt worth spending the money on a new pump -especially as I will have to buy a belt as well…….Thanks again in advance of your reply.

ParticipantRe: trying to fix a Bosch WTL6003GB Drier -any tips?
Penguin45 thanks for your reply
I have studied the diagrams but am stuck because of the rear fan.
Do you know how this comes away from the motor shaft?
Its plastic fan wheel (267101 in diagram) and I expected this to come away from the shaft after removing the end bolt.
It may be seized or am I missing a trick?
If I can get the fan off then the rear panel should then fold out…I think?

Thanks again!
