Not sure you’ll get an answer to that one unless any engineers on here have done exactly the same swap. 😕
IME most hinges do correspond between different makes of machine, but by no means all….in which case, yes you will need to drill new holes for the hinges i’m afraid.
IIRC Screwfix do a hinge cutter at a reasonable price, there are two common sizes so check first?

I’m pretty sure this one fills to level, wash pumps cuts in which drops the level, then refills to level again while washing?
Always ready to be corrected by a mod like that of course! 😆

This is the older type with the side chamber/flood switches IIRC?

….or a lazy valve. Easy way to check a lazy valve is to pull the plug during a fill…it should shut off pretty smartish 😉

My apologies rocker i misread your post.
If the diaphragm is activating the switch ok and it still overfills then i would think it has to be the module?
One of the Bosch boys will be along shortly no doubt…..

would it have anything to do with the regeneration valve?
robNo, nothing at all….
Other things to check are the float and it’s switch fitted into the metering tank, and the associated wiring for it where it enters the bottom of the door.
When it sticks, what is it actually doing i.e. nothing/pumping out/ quiet ticking etc?

ParticipantRe: Bosch SGS53A02GB/42
Yep…if the plug is out the valve should be shut…basic stuff really

ParticipantRe: Is the end of our world nigh..?
Indeed Martin…announced on the news this morning by Halifax that house prices fell over 1{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} last month and have fallen for the last three consecutive months, the first time since 1995.
Couple that with the FSA warning lenders yesterday to be more cautious about lending money next year as the money supply to them will shrink markedly (being unable to access commercial loans was what did in Northern Crock).
….and, 1.5m homeowners will find the fixed rate element of their mortgages coming to an end next year which is predicted to cause a hike in reposessions as repayments shoot up at the end of the fixed rate term.
Gloomy for the economy and especially for those who have overborrowed on the strength of the housing market, but all these people are still our customers, and when money is in short supply the repair to the fridge or the washing machine is way down the list of cutbacks 😀 -
