The best bet is to get the fan motor out and see if it has it’s specification printed on it…possibly even taking it to a good appliance repair/spares shop who might be able to match it up with something.

The clock set procedure IIRC is press and hold any three buttons on the lower row and adjust with the + and –
Last time i needed one was about 5 years ago and it was obsolete then! 😯

Perhaps one of the other lads might know this one?

In theory yes…can you let us have the model number and we might be able to point you in the right direction 😉

ParticipantRe: My fridge is defying logic
IIRC Danfoss for example quote a cut-out temp of -12 to -15oC on the kit3’s (standard auto defrost fridge stat), in other words Andy if the pot can only get the evaporator to -8 or 10oC then the stat just aint going to cut out, and you’ll still gets lots of ice.
Used to be quite common on the old R12 systems, you try explaining to a customer the reason why everything in the fridge is freezing is because the compressor isn’t working hard enough! 😆
Anyway, another thumbs up for the scrap heap direction 😉

There is a part number on the seal itself (124965200) which resembles a DST part number but it is not recognised by Connect.Steve.
If you put a ‘7’ on the end of the number on the seal it comes up in stock at Connect and M’part…. is that the one?

If the old carbon brush has worn down badly enough the copper tail will have undoubtedly scratched a groove on each of the commutator segments. It therefore is very important to clean away the groove using a ‘commutator bedding stick’. 😉
Bosch actually advise replacing the motor/armature if it’s grooved by the brush tail but personally i think that’s totally unnecessary…even on really badly scored comms i use some emery cloth first then polish with a comm stick. It’s perhaps just as important though to brush out the comm with something like a toothbrush to get rid of the carbon between the segments.
Another tip is to file a small taper on the nose of the new brushes so they sit nicely in the channel worn by the old ones 😉
