ParticipantRe: F11 fault code on a Whirlpool
Ohhh sorry, i confused you with the initial author of the post 😳
To answer you questions directly, the chances are the electronics have survived which is why it is able to display a fault code.
You would still be looking to outlay on a new motor although you may just pick up a recon somewhere which would obviously be a bit cheaper.
You can try Shop@ but you need to give the full service number for your model which will be in the format 8545******** to identify the exact motor.

I’ve got a brand new Whirlpool AWO10761 and on it’s second wash it has come up with F11 as a code on the LCD panel.

All these problems can be sorted by whirlpool under guarantee so give them a call?

The raised segment on the armature means the motor has let go…whatever you do, i would recommend not using the appliance again until it is sorted otherwise you run a high risk of taking the electronics and possibly the door lock out with it 😕

When the door is opened the machine has water, and is washing and the display show 1 minute left
That would be error code 1 which relates to it not heating

Is this a common programmer or sensor fault ?
Most likely dry joints on the pcb, if not then the heater has let go.
Click the link below for professional help, but if having a go yourself then you must unplug before doing anything

If IKEA refuse to budge then you could try the link below for a local engineer…most if not all will have a smaller call out charge than £70!!!
Besides…it will likely be something minor…the inlet regulator’s prone to problems and the fact that it has been unused may mean it needs a techincal adjustment (judicious thump with a flat hand!) to revive it 😉 This part is located inside a water chamber inside the cabinet so not a diy job unless you are confident.

ParticipantRe: Bosch WFL 2260 FD 8102 605695 drum not turning
Glad you got it sorted Linda…incidentally the groove is caused by a retaining spring finger which is used to lock the brush when the motor is assembled and I myself have come across one or two like that. The better repair is to bend the finger out a little so it doesn’t contact the brush but if your dad was careful not to file too much away then it should be a successful repair! (and a whole lot cheaper than a new machine!) 😆

6 flashes could also indicate a problem with the system that controls the water level which seems more likely as the machine has obviously taken water onboard.
This is often caused by food residues in the system but as the appliance is brand new then is engineer time i’m afraid.
The good news is it is under guarantee so it won’t cost you anything to call the manufacturer out to sort it for you. 😉

Have a look in Shop@ in the navigation box for the brushes however I would strongly recommend you get professional help as (1) you confess you haven’t got a clue about these things and (2) there may be other damage caused by the nature of the fault.
If you insist on having a go yourself then you must unplug the machine before doing anything :zap:

Sounds very much like a seized wash pump…even had a brand new Bosch with one this week. The cure is easy….the pump just needs a helping hand to start for the first time, unfortunately this is not a diy job particularly as it’s under guarantee?
Incidentally the light should flash 5 times then pause if this is the case.

ParticipantRe: Bosch WFL 2260 FD 8102 605695 drum not turning
Hi Linda
It sounds like the brushes have failed in the motor however if it managed to trip the RCD there’s a distinct possibility the motor and/or pcb hasn’t survived 😥
Turn the drum slowly by hand and listen for a clicking noise….if you hear one then the motor is a gonner. If not then it’s worth an engineer visit though, if it’s just a set of brushes required then it would be well worth doing IMO

ParticipantRe: bosch condenser dryer
There is another lurking elsewhere….under the ducting beneath the door. Access by the RH side panel IIRC.

ParticipantRe: bosch condenser dryer
Hi paul you need to check that the condensor matrix is fluff free along with the internal ducting, and if it is then logic would say the normal operating stat must be at fault?

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WD860 Transit Bolts
IIRC there are two bolts at the back about two thirds of the way up the cabinet….keep unscrewing them until they feel free then slide them sideways in the key slot and withdraw them. They can be identified by the plastic cap alongside them that then blanks the hole once the bolts are withdrawn.

No Martin, most worktops are fitted with NTC’s these days…
