Sounds like it isn’t using enough water…the acid test of course is the wash results at the end.
If you have traces of food left on the crockery, or what looks a bit like black pepper left on things then that is a sure sign.
Might be worth a call/email to Bosch to confirm and of course if it’s u/g’tee then they will sort it for you…

    Re: Zanussi built-in oven glass

The oven will still operate however i would advise against it because the outer door glass will become extremely hot in use (real and present danger of serious burns if it’s touched)
Zanussi will tell you that the whole inner door needs replacing however we have achieved success in rebonding the glass…you will need an engineer who will probably take the door away for a couple of days and bring it back repaired 😉
You could try Repairs@ to see if there’s someone local to you?

    Hi Mark
You will need to replace the valve if it won’t move….IIRC it has a position sensor in it too so the pcb will be getting a reading that it’s not moving and prevent the program from functioning. This may also be why it now won’t reset.

If you can confirm with a meter that one of the coils is open circuit then yes that’s the fella!

Have you checked the transfer pipe from the float chamber to the tub? 😉

Usually a bad connection gcb, but if there’s any sign of tracking then the cap is goosed….4.5Kv tends to escape at the earliest opportunity 😉

The ones on the hob don’t seem to come off so easily though, and I don’t think I’d be able to explain that the hob is faulty cos I pulled the knob off to the place that sold it to me! 😀

My advice is go for it!….we’ve all had to replace switches from time to time but i’ve never managed to mechanically damege one by pulling the knob off…except when the switch was already broken in the first place!

    Re: Creda ceramic hob cracked

Most ceramic hob tops are attached by a number of screws around the edge, some have control switches which mount to the top but these are attached by a single nut on each, others mount the switches on a subframe screwed to the base in which case the top will come off once the knobs are pulled off.

Incidentally, it’s usually worth having a look at your household insurance to cover the cost….in which case you will need an engineer to fit it for you 😉

Re: Whirlpool AWZ121 Dryer – no heat

Yep the heater’s had it….very common fault as faults go. Incidentally, the new heater comes complete with a new pair of stats too 😉

If the right heater isn’t in Shop@ then i’m sure a quick email to Dave Conway will produce the goods! The part number is 481225928675

Surely all you need to do is pull the knobs off the hob and push onto the oven???….if they fit then you have answered your own question 😉

Mouse damage to the mains cable?…plug top stuck to bitumen soundproofing on the back of the machine?….faulty supply socket?….leak from draining board above?…

Or Peer to Peer software such as Shareza or Kazaa? My kids download a bit of music now and again, and every so often Norton perks up with blocked trojan or worm message.

Personally speaking I take the obvious precautions like up-to-date antivirus software with firewall and backing up files regularly on CD or DVD, then accept the fact that everything in life carries a risk.
