ParticipantRe: Ariston LD87
The 12v supply to the relay is switched off after a few mins on the heating cycle which might suggest the pcb?….no error codes appear though….good old Ariston quality eh? 😉

Hi Malcolm
Habe you had a look in Shop@ ?
If you can’t find it there then a quick email to Dave Conway will sort it! 😉

IIRC if the pump is blocked/faulty it will stop with a flashing start light?
Have you tried resetting (hold down start for 5 seconds)? The drain pump only should run for 1 minute and then stop, after which it can be re-programmed.

Here here!….besides which, knowing insurance companies as I do, they will probably go after the carpet company who are responsible for the farce by breaking their agreed appointments.

Check again that there isn’t another piece of glass somewhere in the sump/pump housing/drain line….clear glass is virtually invisible in water as you unfortunately found out! Bear in mind that the pump will make strange noises and not rotate correctly until it has some water to push against.
Lastly check that the filter is undamaged and fully secured in the base when you run the machine…it’s there to stop things like glass/crockery chips as well as food residues.clivejameson
ParticipantRe: Zanussi filling with water
Yes no problem. IIRC the specs on a Zanussi say the pump has a maximum head of 3m so raising the hose another six inches or so underneath the sink will be fine.

ParticipantRe: ZANUSSI WDJ 1294 – OVER FILLING
Sounds like one of three things….
1. blocked pressure system
2. faulty pressure switch
3. air leak on pressure system

ParticipantRe: Zanussi filling with water
Yes….you need to raise and secure part of the drian hose well above the point that it attaches to the sink waste. That way the water will not run uphill from the watse before travelling down and into the washer.

You may have another problem there….the pressure system may need a clean particularly if you live in a hard water area. 😉

ParticipantRe: Creda condenser T/D
Thanks for the pointers chaps…looks like i’ll have to get it to leak in the workshop…at least I can see if the float is operating correctly having previously cleaned it out. IIRC the valve on the float chamber looked in good nick after the cleaning but we shall see 😉
