dont know the age of your m/c but corrosion on spin tube will cause a slow spin on these, expensive repair as outer tube will be corroded as well. as dave said these are a very easy stripdown .had one that had not been used for a while and after stripdown and a bit of freeing of clutch and brake m/c kicked back into life and ran fine(cap is 22 if memory serves me right but check it out before you put one in)paul

very interesting post andy.unfortunately i can throw no real light on topic.its just that got a call today from a customer that has a miele w/m in her shed that is leaking after cold snap.displaying inlet fill error. was quoted 88euro for valve from miele so do not want to get caught with it. surely they would not sell me valve and then expect cust to fork out for miele engineer to come and clear fault code.will fire off email in am to area rep and see what he says.paul

my god have you seen the price of these 88 euro.and this woman has it in a shed.for that money you would nearly have to bring it to bed with you..rang miele ireland no chance of getting trade prices there.does anyone know can i adapt another valve to suit. are there different size outlets or restrictors on these.paul
