Re: smeg fan assist oven trips rcd

    Hi
Sounds like an earth fault on the fan oven element .
This can get worse as element heats up

Re: Hoover WDM130 Door Switch ?

    Hi
Changing the door lock may cure your problem .
May also be a problem with loose sloppy door hook on this range of machine too .

    Re: Zanussi E40 fault

    Hi mike
I went into the diagnostic setup 3 times after refitting the board and it made no difference at all, just would not get past the first function led then displaying E42.
I then put the original door interlock back on and a E40 fault re appeared
Also you could select the various programmes with the fascia module and press start and E40 did not come up with new interlock on, you just could not see the machine springing into action though .

    Re: Zanussi E40 fault

Well another one bites the dust because of a circuit board!!!
Got pcb back of emw and went to refit today .
Triac replacement has now cured the valve running all the time. Yippie!!
However machine still not working still.
E42 is been displayed when in diagnostic mode so suspect further damage to pcb .
Cheers for all the help though guys

    Hi mike
    Totally agree with you !
However plug is behind machine and no switch above the bench.
As for not worth repairing it this guy wants it done.
Checked on masterpart last night board £46 plus vat so not too bad.

Re: Zanussi Motor Star washer for tacho

As above i too have used silicone with no problems.
I also saw the other week that someone had drilled the motor casing and put a tiny self tapper screw in to stop tacho coil cover moving back over .
i do have a clip if you are stuck though
    Cheers

    Re: **Indesit WIA111*

    Hi mike
Checked the capacitors already, thought that was what i would be going to change.
However lights are flashing in a controlled manner unlike when the capacitor fault is apparent.
Also the machine appears to be working perfectly .
At end of cycle interlock will release in the normal manner, however you are unable to turn machine of at the on off button on the front of the machine .
    Cheers anyway for your input

    Re: Zanussi E40 fault

    ❗ Hi guys
Yes it is emw but only a tenner as they do not normally repair this board.
I am getting no guarantee either, but they are also fitting new triac too .
Did not feel comfortable about removing /resoldering in a new triac .
This triac is quite small 8 legs and solders directly onto pcb tracks not through pcb.
