ParticipantRe: Candy CDB754D dryer sol. valve fault.
Oooooo 😕 Martin you might have something or not.
The original call to this was that the dryer didn’t work …AND….the programme was jumping all over the shop. A little spray with switch cleaner cured that but wondering if there is something else.

I’ve left it for a good while but doesn’t power up. Every time I visit the dryer stat is tripped ……..even though they don’t use the dryer while it’s faulty :rolls:

I DON’T BELIEVE IT!!!Exactly one year later (JAN 7th) and I have the same fault again from one of these. This time it’s a Candy CDB754d with no power to the dryer solenoid. Last time it was the board, this time tested the lot but getting nothing at the board when the dryer is on. Ordered a board direct from Gias which arrived resealed with packing tape after it had been opened. Noted this with the spares desk.
Changed the board still no power to the solenoid. Now not sure if it’s a returned duff board or I still haven’t cracked the fault. I thought it was just a straight 240v fom the pcb edge connector all the time it’s drying, but anyone with experience of these point me in the right direction.

Not the right one.
Will fit but on spin the lower skirt catches the inner drum lip so had to go back and refit the old one. Not an IG call either 👿

Managed to finally get the last of the screw out with easy outs and heat. Took a while but not my favourite job this week. Drum thankfully not required, thanks for your help on it Bazza.

Yup, a full compliment of assorted wedges to get any access to the screws. It can be done without upending it too 😉
