I can have a word with UKW member Musket if you wish – he has a Cat 3 explosives licence and has been featured on Scrapheap Challenge several times. Not bad for my ex-apprentice.
Often wondered how they got the penguin to fly 😉

Yup, I second that. Mind you it was a poor pattern one from Masterpart, the lock that needs bigger retainer screws.

Yep, I’m fine on that score with the pump being a twist off jobby. This guy is a fiddler though and has undone the hose clips to the heater etc to see if there’s a blockage :rolls: . Thats why he can’t use his Hotpoint guarantee 😉 .

Can’t see it being anything other than timer cos if pressure switch was locked up it wouldn’t spin ….would it?

Oh the bard got forgetteful.
Not opened it up yet to see but what size are the hose clips for the motor. Whirlpool motor/ tube heater sized or bigger. He decided to open it up to look for a blockage before me :rolls: .TC

Hmmm ‘nother thought on the pressure switch. If the switch was locked in the higher level position would it still let the wash (hot) water in first off, and would it still allow the spin cycle.
If it had lost the higher level wouldn’t it overfill.
😕 😕
Oh for an INDY WIDL board….board….board….board easy stuff 😆TC

The valve is getting a slight flick of power but only small and hardly registering when the rinses start. Hot valve is fine and yep its the old cam and rod job (the knob is getting a bit stiff as well now 😳 )
Customer was complaining that the clothes came out warm which first alerted her, ie once it gets through the wash thats it on the fill side but it carries on through the programme and spins at the end 😕 .
Connect haven’t got the timer in at £236 and haven’t got the pressure switch in at £72 either 😥
Either way I think I’m stuck with a set of old carbons and another sob story.TC

Got an 80 odd quid one recently as a spare, cos I had one half inched.
Chinese one from CPC in a lovely yellow rubber case.
Must admit it is every bit as good as my Metrahit 16i which I originally got for £350, got a brand new replacement off ebay for £120.
Longevity I’m not sure about but features etc its good.
