    Re: ISE2 MK2 odd fault.

Turned out to be fabric conditioner getting onto the board through the dispenser/ fascia joint. Sealed it and put in a plastic barrier between board and facia.

    🙂
Lost count of the times I’ve rang back some ignorant get who hung up on me.
When they answer I just say ‘Hiya it’s Tony you were just speaking to , you hung up before I had time to say goodbye’ They nearly all apologise and say……..Oh I thought you had finished 😳 .

    👿
The nice man who picked me up last night 😳 ….er, Green Flag bloke, tested my starter motor and insisted that it was the problem, showing me with his ‘power probe’ (ooer missus 😯 ) that a live or neut to the starter would do no good. Spent all day looking for a 16mm socket (story in itself :rolls: ) to get the damn thing off, fitted new (recon) one at £100 and ………….no different 😈
So nice early start in the wifes car to get some calls completed from today and then back at the van.
I’d take it into the garage if I could bump start the damn thing loaded by myself:rolls:

Re: Single oven with a spit

Used to have a brilliant Rosieres (Candy) single oven with just about any combination of element, fan or conventional, top or lower or both and a rotisseie. Lovely green display on it as well….but I haven’t a clue on the model number, although I think it was called something like a Megane 😳

    Re: Belling XOU500ss selector switch

After persevering for a couple of months and ffinally waiting ages for someone to finally drop off the part, the customer quibbled about £48 labour charge mentioning that I had only taken 30 minutes to fit it. This is after saving the ungrateful w**ker around £50 which he knew about, not mentioning wasted time and phone calls etc chasing the part. He is now noted in my mobile phone quite unfavourably 😉 , but its taught me a few things. Trust your initial instincts on customers that seem like arses…..they usually are :rolls: .

On the info trail though the correct part is 082618562 and is around £50 from stoves, only found after a kind man on the spares desk didn’t agree with the £112 price shown and decided to look into it further. It’s shown on Connect too……but is out of stock :rolls:

There are a few old posts concerning this very problem. Check in search for Hotpoint Bearings and it should come up. Drilling at 45degrees into the sleeve and such 😉

Taken the plastic encased 👿 pcb off and given it a good coat of looking at but all appears fine. Must admit I didn;t see any signs of a hold up in the float area or outlet to the sump. Going back as soon as I’ve got my megger sorted. Having to use my 15 year old one which I dug out of a dark corner as a temporary measure. Still works fine but needs recalibrating. Just in case anyone was wondering 😉 .

Configured thats what I meant to write 😳

BTW looking at the box again the Whirlpool label has 481221838584 and the Connect label (which I read originally) is 481221838 and then 347.
    Unconfigured version maybe?

    Re: ADG7560 weird fault

This one is doing my head in now. Apart from an access problem (prison officer on shifts :rolls: ) the calls are so far apart I have to start from scratch every time to remember what I was doing.
Anyways up.. I have ordered a new board for this and when fitted won’t even start a programme. The connections though labelled on the case are in different position to the old one so a bit concerned Connect may have sent the wrong one. Board is 481221838.
The programme indicator shows the first (from left)led and when I press start and close the door just get three bleeps with the start light flashing constantly.
Does this board need to be programmed, is it the right board, did I have a bad Friday 😥
