😯 😯 😯 😯 😯 😯 😯
Christ on a bike, they know how to charge don’t they 😡
This is (next to the Brandt end of rotor arm ones) probably the most basic dispenser I’ve ever seen.
One solenoid
One plastic housing with door
Two springs
A door retaining latch through the body tensioned with the springs which is letting water through.
I’ve a good mind to see what Conects price would be just for Devilment 👿
Ta for the info though 😉TC

ParticipantRe: DOOR BOOT LG WM16220FD
Funnily enough I have that model in to recon at the mo with a s***ty boot.
Was going to try my vast array to see if another boot will at least fit, otherwise its the 40 odd quid root (yah boo hiss).

ParticipantRe: Ugly Appliances
Sorry to hijack your thread but should you really be putting ideas in to engineers heads about ugly appliances. The next thing that’ll happen is some people will hear about ugly appliances and stop buying them, and then where will we be. No ugly appliances to repair, next door neighbour will have a set of ugly brushes and replace them for a tenner and then he sees a gap in the market for ugly repairs. Some people will hear about him and he’ll start putting his prices up to compete with our pretty appliance repairs. Then he’ll put a post on U tube to help some people, but miss out the all important bits (like how to get the motor out in the first place) and his business will bite the dust because everyone now knows how to repair the ugly machine and won’t need him anymore. And…and…
and its all your fault!!!!!! 😈 😈Oh the power of the internet 😉
I need a lie down.TC
As Mark and Lard used to say……….Carry on!!

ParticipantRe: a bit fun
Slightly off topic but years ago leaned a 78 series dishwasher back against a wall to find a not very well hamster underneath. No claws left and obviously got a shock, but still alive. Been missing for a week and thats when the fault started. Didn’t have the heart to charge them, and the office (for once, cos this was while I was still at Hotpoint based in Wembley) backed me up.

Thats what annoys me, when your made to look bad and unprofessional through no fault of your own.
Thats the one that gets me most peed off 😈 . Cos when you ring any of them complain about their service losing your customers they don’t give a toss 👿 .

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WD420
On the wash fill, does the change over still occur from hot to cold ( or vicky verky) as this seems to be when it stops, had that fault on a Zanussi board a while ago. Happens same point every time so I’m doubtful its a valve. Then again at the price for the four way valve its a fair wack to shell out for a guess, I’m going to have to find a scrapper of these (shouldn’t be so hard to find 😉 ) to get some plugs for testing them tiny valve connections.
Then again…..replacement board please Tony 😀
