Talking of which…when did they start fitting the pump to the sump assembly on the bottom of the drum. Been to one today like this with a d/c from 2009…took me a bit by surprise.

This one 😀 . Looked at Wi101 and guess what 194 interlock shown 😥 . Looks like I might be going s/h if there aren’t any available. I’d swap the wires our of the plug if I thought I could trust Indesit not to have swapped wiring around on this one.

    Re: Indesit WD12x Interlock

Been with a new 194 interlock just in case it was packed wrong but no luck. The original interlock is slightly longer than the 194 with a metal slide and a 4 way plug but only using 3 connectors in it. Will try and post a photie or two to see if anyone recognises it. The annoying thing is it works but he’s sh**ged up the slide trying to get the door open when he broke off the handle.

The loom to this is a longer plug with two locking tabs on similar to the Bosch motors.

Hmmmm. Now I’m confused. The C00085194 I’ve got doesn’t fit and is a metalflex. The one off the machine is Bitron. Unless I’ve been bagged up wrong and that has been said before.

Re: How Much Do You Know About Washing Machines?

Give ’em enough rope……Most of the time with the, lets say unusual faults, the customer will eventually tell you what they’re doing wrong. You just need to listen to the clues. It wont spin..DAH DI DAH, I didn’t want to wash my best jumper with everything else….. or dishwasher wasn’t washing very well…….had a dinner party at weekend, new Ikea wine glasses, big plates etc. To these I usually ask if it’s happened more than once and the number that say …no only on the last wash usually makes me suspicious of a customer related cock up.
Most customers love to tell you that they always use their appliance like this and never had a problem :rolls: , unfortunately you need to sit through a life story, sometimes, to hear it.
Then again a problem I often encounter nowadays is customers who ‘know’ what the fault is (tinternet)and aren’t too keen on you upending their newly found knowledge 👿 .

Well!! Hadn’t realised that the Miele sensor brushes are a separate part and can be ordered using number 01454591 £22 off fleabay, but onsale at Masterpart also. A little bird tells me that they are also available from Europart as well. Sorry if it’s common knowledge to the more learned gentlemen on the site but I was 😀 with my find.

There’s a pub in Preston (Wetherspoons) called Greyfriars. A few years ago, while texting the lads for a meet up, my ancient Nokia had sent GayEriccs before I could stop. Caused a few questions that night.

    Cheers for the reply Don

No, it’s the sensordry sensor at the top of the drum. I’ve got the lever (handle) but it’s the clip on assembly at the end which runs over the two sensor strips on the drum. Two carbon brushes (triangular-ish I think originally, but only ever come across this one and v. worn) on a central pivot.

Does this machine have the side tank with a flow meter on it. They (or the connex to it) fail.

I have a long nose/ long handle pair of pliers which I’ve bent over the ends of the nose 90 deg. Bit of a fiddle but it’s fairly straight forward bringing the ends together. But yep, what a loopy design it is.
