hi been out to this fridge freezer today and the top vertical line of the second eight was showing on the fridge section customer had said it had tripped rcd just before ,looking back on an old post i understand that this fault code is a dodgy ice maker sensor i have just rang customer to inform them and they say they have been on the internet :rolls: and pressed a combo of buttons and it now appears to be running correctly any thoughts guys does a dodgy ice maker sensor normally trip rcd and is it possible to get the fridge going again by pressing a combo of buttons ? thanks Cras

thanks for the reply on this one and should anyone come across this machine i found that a hotpoint wm element fitted perfectly 😀 ,this machine also required a new belt and the gen belt was between £35-£40 😯 a search on the size came up with a beko at £7 😀 thanks Cras (kezs co worker)

thanks seamy been out to this and found the door seal along the top edge is covered in lime scale im ordering a new seal and will adjust the lock once thats fitted Cras

normally come with the evaporator but u can un clip the heater from them so no need to change evap. 😀

getting my fair share of them this week as well funny how u go for weeks without seeing them then they all turn up in one week (we term it w**ker week at our place 😆 ) today s offering started yesterday went to an integ auto that required a new outer door rim no name on the front just a number wm602 suspecting it to be a homark i tell i will contact today with price and availbilty all ok so far, put a parts enquiry in this morning customer rings at 9 .30 today and is miffed that i havent got price yet . I explain that i will ring as soon as it returns . Parts enquiry comes back at 2pm (expensive £38 +vat) ring with total cost customer tells me the price is extortionate ,i explain that the part is expensive ,she then says well i need it doing asap can you fit it today :rolls: no i explain i would have to order it ,before i finish the sentance i am met with “oh forget it i need it doing straight away i cant do without my washer “and the phone is slammed down :rolls: yep its w**ker week 😆

yes i can see lots of problems arising as well especially if the customer has used a proffesional oven cleaning company before and the fact they advertise it as a “valet” :rolls:

on a similar topic try i tried sending a faulty pcb back a few weeks ago (to connect)and this was rejected :rolls: and on top of that they have kept the pcb we have requested it back but are still waiting 👿

thats the problem with local authority s they really dont give a monkeys there idea of recycling is destruction they just dont believe that the items they collect can be re used and in my experience are un willing to give it a try i suspect that when they consult anybody on recycling it will normally be large electrical retailers who s vested interest is destruction 😥

think the case i state though highlights the problems with this legislation virtualy impossible to police only yesterday last thing i sold a second hand machine the only problem was when i re tested it prior to delivery this saturday the bearings sound slightly dry on fast spin not noticed it before but i will change them today so it doesnt come back to bite me later but as the money has changed hands its now not mine so i presume no laws are broken 😀 Cras

delivered a new washer today took there old machine away the only fault was a slightly moldy door seal as i see it i now break the law if i change it before selling or as its working ok can i sell it then change it after delivery under warranty 😕 Cras
