Whirlpool part number is 481948058091 but it’s probably more expensive than the Bosch one

dH is a failure of the defrost heater cutout or the heater itself.

The cutout (part you describe) is part number 6615JB2002R

    The drain heater is 5300JB1092B

    Can you help once more?
Appliance Care did not show up last Friday to remove compressor and give me refund of £140.00. You can see by the e mail listed that they said there were delayed and would put a chq in the post…nothing received.
I have sent e mails and left messages to no avail….I am desperate to buy another fridge but am unsure as to what to do next.

    Email convo between themselves:

    customer wrote:Hello Andrew,
It is now 8.15 Friday evening and nobody has shown – there has been someone here all day waiting.
Will you please let me know what is happening, I was planning on going to buy a new fridge tomorrow.
    Jill.

There is a cheque in the post for you tomorrow morning, he Has not attended because he has been badly delayed today but apparently tried to call you about 3pm to advise you of this. I have just put the cheque in an envelope and I will post it 1st thing tomorrow morning.

    Thoughts please ?

It does sound like the thermostat is at fault.

Part number for this model is 261055 at £22.49 inc.

An email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk please if you’d like one, remember to power off when checking :zap:

If you’re unsure on fitting, please try the repairs@ link below for an engineer 🙂

Re: Brandt Fridge/Freezer Problem – Fuse gone?

    I think the model is CFA311WU ?

It sounds like the control PCB to be honest as there is little else controlling the unit. It’s around £50 as a guide (I can supply if required) so it may be worth repairing.

I have no listing for refrigeration engineers in the RG area either 🙁

Anyone covering that can help ? 🙂

263088 is a complete dispenser but you can buy the lid (166621) and the solenoid (166635) on their own also..

Normally after a good curry 😆

Seriously though, yes most fridges do this, especially the electronically controlled ones. It’s to protect the motor (compressor) from being started too soon after delivery or moving as oil can run up in to the system pipework and contaminate it.

I think it is on this model as well. There’s a common link between all the pilot terminals on the simmerstats and the oven light switch terminal on the two stats, perhaps one has been “squashed” if the hob/control panel has been removed ?

    Re: fridge freezer constantly running

The compressor is on the way out Paul I would think.

From the serial number it’s 1992 vintage and R12 refrigerant is not available any longer so how he got it regassed is a mystery 😉

Time for the fridge mountain errrr… recycling centre I think 😉
