Is the neon not flashing a sequence as well indicating a fault code (in the known error codes thread) ? 😉

ParticipantRe: Caple Cooker hood FSCHW3
Oddly it doesn’t show the filters on the parts diagram 😕
It looks though as if a universal cut to size type would fit like this one:

It varies quite a bit to be honest, between £30 and £50 as a rough guide. You can discuss that locally before comitting to a call of course 🙂

ParticipantRe: SMEG UK STX2 Problems
Yep, that’s the one which is why I gave the link to the previous post as it described the part and the link to our shop to purchase one if required 😉
Only two leads on this one 🙂

ParticipantRe: Servis Rainwave 1100 Integrated Washer Dryer
If you can stretch to it, go for the Miele, it’s by far the best quality one you’ll get in the UK 😀
The other two are both Zanussi in disguise but still pretty good so go for the AEG 😉

ParticipantRe: SMEG UK STX2 Problems
It sounds as if the circulation motor has failed or the start capacitor for it (the latter the more likely).
This post should help:

Power off if checking please :zap: or you can find an engineer from the repairs@ link below if you’re unsure 🙂

Tasa wrote:1. Is this issue of the Servis Washer Dryer worth repairing? i.e. would it cost more that £150?
It depends on the level of damage caused, the bearings have failed and probably now damaged the inner drum/support and possibly the drum backplate. It’s probably worth a look to be honest as an integrated washer dryer won’t be cheap or easy to source.
I would ask an engineer to check before commiting to a new one (see below).
Tasa wrote:2. If not, are there any Integrated Washer Dryers that you would recommend? Criteria being reliable and value for money.
See above 😀
Tasa wrote:3. Does anyone have any issues with replacing integrated washer dryers? Would one need a professional kitchen fitter to do it or would a washing machine engineer be able to install it and reattach the existing kitchen cupboards?
Nope, a whitegoods engineer will be able to do this for you normally.
Tasa wrote:4. Lastly, can anyone recommend a engineer / fitter that can install an integrated washer/dryer in the London W8 area?
Have you checked repairs@ (see link below) ?

It’s made by Smeg this one so this article will help:

Also searching for E2 in the forums and pick out the Smeg and Diplomat ones, there’s plenty of them 😉

paule wrote:Would it be possible that these problems could be caused/made worse by there not being enought airflow to the back of the fridge freezer?
Possibly but it’s more likely there is an underlying problem with the defrost cycle to be honest but it’s worth a try 😉
