Yeah, £105 is far too much.
If you want just the spider (remember you’ll have to make up the fixings and drill the old on off) I can get it for you from MFI at the price mentioned previously, it’s the same one.
To be fair MFI sales or spares staff may well not even know, nor should they have any cause to know they are the same appliance as Servis, the machines are all made in the same factory that’s all.
If you drop me an email, I’ll let you have further details should you require the spider.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint Advertise Franchises!
Just out of interest this morning I went to
https://www.theservicecentre.co.uk/macr … .d2w/begin
and attempted to book several service visits using various different scenarios, different appliances, in and out of warranty, with or without extended warraty.
The earliest I was offered across all of those was 6 working days, that’s 8 days ahead if you count the weekend.
Even that isn’t guaranteed as there is a notice stating “If we are unable to complete the call on your selected date we will contact you as soon as possible to advise this”.
I have heard of much longer lead times in different parts of the UK, anyone else care to try using their own local postcodes ?

ParticipantRe: Merloni
As we are an official Hotpoint sales centre, I’ve emailed our rep this morning pleading ignorance and asking what the fuck is going on (rumours etc ;))
As if I didn’t know already 😆
Let’s see what the sales side of the operation has to say 😀

ParticipantRe: Badly packed spares
For some reason, some of the “packers” at Connect don’t seem to understand their job title.
We often recieve boxes with tons of shredded cardboard on top of the parts and nothing underneath them 😕

ParticipantRe: Bosch WVF2000 – Trips Breaker on 1000 Spin
It sounds like a motor related problem to me.
It could be something as simple as carbon dust causing it or at worse the armature breaking down on high speed.
It may sound daft but just before it spins, turn the lights off and put your head near the floor, see if you can see any sparking going on under the machine.

ParticipantRe: Bernstein Group / Caremark Dishwasher spares
As you know it’s a Caremark unit you may have already contacted them, if you haven’t the number is 0870 7502435.
Woz may also be able to throw some light on this one ?

ParticipantRe: BEKO WM 1412s
You can get the manuals from SEME at £1.35 each, there are two listed against this model.
Nil stock though unsurprisingly 🙁
I may place one on backorder just to see what you get for that money 😉

ParticipantRe: Hygena Oven “Multi Turbo” Timer
Oven timers are not easy to explain without physically being sat in front of them to be honest.
The red and yellow hands will probably be the start and stop times, a case of trial and error without the manual unfortunately.
If you slide the oven forward out of it’s housing, the model number should be on the top of the cavity. It will be in the format APL/AHY/ADP then 3/4 numbers. You can then phone MFI Extracare to obtain the user manual.
They are on 08457 959722.

ParticipantRe: Lux TR1056 stat
You’ll need to know if it’s a single or twin compressor unit Toni.
The single compressor fridge stat has an extra terminal/contact for a solenoid on it.
If it’s a twin compressor a VT9 will do nicely.
The single compressor unit was a Danfoss special, genuine part number is 572595859008, Connect part number FRG29, Qualtex part number Ran29 (Ranco replacement ?).

ParticipantRe: Servis Quartz 1100, s/n unknown, drum bracket broken
The model number will be on the inside of the filter door, lower right hand side of the machine as you look from the front.
This is a Merloni made appliance and will be model M6111 or similar. Check the seal size though, I think you’ll find it’s 35x62x10.
If that’s the case, you can buy the drum spider (support) on it’s own, these are all the same across the range, roughly £25 from MFI who use the same appliance.
If you want the whole drum and spider assembly, the model is critical as the drum itself differs. If it’s the standard one that also MFI use, it’s roughly £65.

ParticipantRe: Ariston AF300 d/w not heating
The screw in one near the heater is described as thermostat safety 78 NC
The other “two” are actually one part and is described as thermostat 50/62 NO
So it would appear that they read OK.
Timers are a common failure on these, pull all the plugs off and check for burnt terminals 😉

Is there an actual brand name on the dishwasher John ?
I can’t find model DW20 listed 🙁

Yeah, the Italian (Electrolux mainly) insistence on calling anything relating to a washing machine door a “porthole” something or other, except the door seal which is normally desribed as a “rubber bellow”.
All quite obvious on the face of it, IF you know what description to use when doing a search.
