Re: Hoover 5 year parts Warranty charge £89.23p for Call Out

we give a 12 months labour guar
and a 3 years parts guar on all appliances we sell (recon only) and in the 2nd and 3rd year we charge a labour charge only which is 35 plus vat
you pay large for hoover because you get a trained tech out to do the work with unlimited parts and in theory a better level of service
imo though hoover charge high work bad and take a long time to call wheras myself i am usually there same or next day
and this is not just a hoover issue:)

    Re: A Warning

i remember once connecting an electric cooker in a high rise flats in sheffield i remember finding the fuse box and tripping the lot.
thwn uncovered the cooker box, loosened the wires and yanked out the cable from the old cooker came to put the new one in stripped down the wires and just put them in place bzzzzzzz it grabbed me for what seemed like ages the lad i was with pushed at me and then i was ok.
it turns out that the flats had been rewired the previous week and there was ##(known to the tennant) another elctric box in the flat i didnt go to casualty though but didnt half feel rough for the rest of the day.
i always check now before i touch takes 2 seconds and can save your life we all know the horrer stories of dead engineers it is so easy to become that story yourself 🙁

Re: white knight wk767 no drum drive !!!!!! help me im melt

take the lid off and after turning dryer on girve the drum a push by hand if it starts to turn then you can be sure it is a capaciter fault
alternatly by a meter that checks capaciter:)

Re: Ariston wd 12s Washer dryer pumping in water when drying

water during dry is perfectly normal although hot when finished is not.
    is your machine draining correctly.
are your pipes on back to front how long are you putting it on for and are you letting it complete the cycle.
details details its all in the details:)

    Re: servis m3102a-s noise problem

i would charge just under a hundred for that job but the price is fair the work is arduous, and the “barrel clamp” is a nightmare the shaft can be worn even though you may not think so upon inspection so changing the bearings would just be a temporary measure.
servis are not good machines have a scan through these forums for our opinions on said appliance then see if your mother would be better with a better machine i know the initial outlay is a lot but buying a good brand reccomended by an engineer on this site would save more of her pension in years to come. as you may do the repair and have a module fault next week, at least with a new machine comes a new guarantee:)

there are many good machines out there and a lot of rubbish just research what you get and ask for our opinion on the model you intend to buy as we ARE IMPARTIAL.

we cannot give a step by step guide on doing the repair but we can answer specific questions for you.
but as i said in my opinion get shut buy another:)

Re: Hotpoint TC71P Condenser dryer question

i actually havbe a creda dryer (sensordry) at home and the full water light stays on mine after i have emptied it for about 20 mins i have fitted 2 sets of stats to it in 12 months because our lass opens the door to see if it has got dry yet.
i dont think she will do it again if she does then smack 😈 lol
the ten minutes cool down is very important

i wonder why there is no door locking mechanism similar to a washer that would cause the dryer to take ten mins to open and run the fan to avoid this problem. maybe an ise dryer??

Re: Cannot get parts for a 6 month old washing machine!!

if you cannot live without a washer for a few days then i would go and buy another machine and keep it spare in the garage ready for when your indesit breaks down
did i say indesit i meant hotpoint

Re: White Knight reversing tumble dryer (model 732/1). Drum

they have a tendancy to just break off where the spade connector is, i’d say 25{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of my callouts are to broken wires not faulty caps.
rough blackpool wanna make something of it 😈 😆
