Re: whirlpool condenser drier thermostat burned out why is t

my theory on this is the plastic casing for the spades i assume it melts and causes the burnout every time i fit a new set of stats or ele i just put on new tags without the plastic covers
also the cool down is there to cool the inside of the dryer down as well as the clothes if they are sat there at full heat with no circulating air that cannot be a good thing
it may be worth replacing the element at the same time because if i remember rightly the stats are almost exactly the same price as an element which comes with two new stats already fitted
i am sure that is right even if it makes no sense feel free to comment folks

i work in blackpool and there are some areas that suffer from such poverty they do it intentenially i think
and one estate you are lucky to get away at all
in fact last weekend i had my tool box and electric driver stolen from my locked van although it is a typical ford escort so lock dont work its mr padlock lol
just busy this week replacing everything only to get on a job and think oops i am without my pick plyers etc

    Re: tight customers

i always enter a house and i charge ten pound to explain what is wrong how i will repair and how long roughly it will take if they then say go ahead the ten pound is scrapped they are aware that they have to pay but on occasion i get things like i have no money come back next week or you said ten mins that took 5 in those cases i remover said brushes parts pumps motors etc and leave usually customer agrees to pay as i begin to remove part
my m8 has always done the soap box routine and door as it is easier than undoing the repair
i would not do it for what you said theft and also my reputation
but you say this info is all in the legal forum so i think i will have a look in there some time this evening
as i have always said i love to be armed with all the relevant info i love to go in house with a folder full of tech info error codes wiring diagrams leaflets covering smelly machines and why coins should not be left in pockets i do my job properly and to the best of my ability and just expect to get paid for a job well done
but as always the vast majority of customers are happy with our service it is only the tiuny minority who just really tick me off 😈

Re: Hotpoint, wm53 motor to fast

your topic is motor too fast but post says too slow which is it
if it is too slow is it slow as in about 500 revs
or slow as in always tumbling
it might be convinced it is full of water ie p switch or blocked pipe
if it is too fast does it go straight to a full spin without slowly building up if so taco fault maybe wire to it
also these machines commonly have burnt wire in the end of the mtor wiring harness just open up and see
let me know how u get on

    Re: Bespoke kitchen ding dong!

I FAIL TO UNDERSTAND why you could not do this small task for MADAM
if it had been me i would have happily demolished her kitchen only to rebuild it with love care and attention then as i left i would have swept the gravel back into place and mown her lawn

i would also have gone back that night and egged her house
    oh to live the dream

    😈

when do you have to go back?

    Re: indesit 🙁

tbh i have only seen 3 of these including this one and the other 2 where felsts also
i did suspect common fault when i saw this one but have not heard anything of it
    drum and duct kit
do you have a price on this and is it a good repair or will i still get the same fault
or do i just throw it outside and let loose with my hammer 😈

    Re: indesit 🙁

ok lads pretty much my thinking anyway but it was clean and i believed th3e customer who said it works just noisy
but at the minute i have plenty of stuff to sell and an empty workshop till this weekend only this and a hotpoint tdl 11 felt to fit so got plenty of time to play about with it
more of a challenge i do not like to admit defeat especilly when i have the time
    so todays plan
try anohter module heater and thermistor in that order
then change all the bits one by one lol
if i do manage to find out what it was i will let u know it has till tommorow afternoon toget its arse in gear

    Re: Ariston Margherita A1435

oh well at least you know it is working and now know what to ask for when you come to replace it wash length rather than spin speed for eg
does your model have a quick wash you could use note wash quality will decrease if it does
