    Re: hotpoint wf541 door lock

if wiring to motor is broken or the brushes are worn then this will cause a locked door but no door lock light its very common…never seen a board do that fault

i think on some of these once the brushes are replaced you have to reset the machine to clear the code or f21 will still show

Re: CHILD LOSES ARM IN W/M ACCIDENT

on a semi related matter i came across a haier branded machine a few months ago customer bought a recon hotpoint from me i took away the haier when i cam to look at it i plugged it in and as soon as i turned on the power the machine went straight up to spin at what seemed like over top revs this was despite the door being wide open and did not matter what cycle was on
i checked the door lock no one had touched it this machine once powered just span and stayed there
i put it down as a board fault has anyone else come across a similar fault as i thought the machine could not even power the motor without the door being activated this seems to be some kind of design flaw in the module

    Re: Hotpoint WM64

i think the pcb will fit but there is a tag you will need to swap
if the element was not working at all the machine would time out and just continue through the cycle
as for the thermistor i have only ever seen one faulty and that had been hit by a coin or something and smashed so its unlikely have you tried it on a hot wash?
