    Re: A Great Loss

John Mac was one of the first people to get the whole Uk Whitegoods community up and running
when it was little more than a bunch of guys in an email list on a bulletin board.
I remember him being there a the very first meeting before the site was even invented.

His presence at any meeting would ensure lively debate and close scrutiny of any topic
discussed. Delivered with his own inimitable style of caustic Witt and Glaswegian banter.

He always tried to give the impression that he was not bothered by anyone or anything but those that really got to know him soon found out that it was all a front. He was one of the most supportive
And dedicated members of this site, giving generously of his time and efforts in helping it to succeed.

He served the community well as a Moderator, Advisory Council Member, and as Advisor on the many forums he contributed to.

Best of all though, was the fact that when he attended the many Uk Whitegoods meetings and
Social functions you could guarantee that he would be the life and soul of the proceedings.

My heartfelt condolences and sympathy go out to His wife Shirley and daughter Julie. I can’t begin
to imagine their sense of loss.

Perhaps it would be an idea at the next meeting to mention his contributions to this site and better
still to raise a dram to the man I came to call friend.

    Re: The Man From Indesit

It now looks like they are either ready to sh1t on their own franchisees to make their own KPI’S look better or their own franchisees have finally discovered that you can’t run a business on £17.50 a call.

Perhaps you ought to let them advertise Ken and then let the lads tear them a new a$$hole in the forums with the joke payments and conditions.

At least their franchisees will know why they will be getting even less work than they are now, if there is anyone daft enough to take the work on that is.

The only thing that would make sense is that connect are going to give them a discount on spares or a fixed price deal. It might be time to start pulling together to source spares at the same prices connect are paying.

why not personaly investigate the different options and possibilities of sourceing affordable & deliverable online training, backed up by a recognised assessment and we’ll run it up the flag pole and see how many takers we have.

Please don’t think this is a pop at anyone, I am deadly serious.

Yet 0800 boast that D&G are one of thier customers on the front of thier website. The work must be going somewhere and it seems only logical to join the obvious dots.

Come on Tony just 20 miles and it’s practically all M6. You should be done and dusted in just over a couple of hours 😆

This Guy has phoned me no less than four times enquiring specifically about ISE washers and is a total P.I.T.A
I have gone through the spec and feature of every model of ISE.

He tells me that He is a single person living in an upstairs flat with no access to a washing line or drying facilities. So I even told him that in his particular circumstances that he would be best served by a good quality Washer Dryer. (preferably from Curry’s)

He doesn’t listen and comes back on in a few day’s asking exactly the same questions.

I have spoken to him for over an hour and I dont intend to waste anymore time.

    Hi Steve,

I have to agree with Bryan, If Service Power sent you the job then Service Power pay for it. Empire are their problem not yours.

    Hi,

If both the fan and the compressor are running then this would suggest a system fault and is not a quick fix.

Sorry but this one really is a job for an expert.
