    Re: TWR or Not?

There could be the possibility of an approach here to help them out on a more regular basis fed through us to our guys. If we make ourselves look good at their expense this will only make them turn away for good.

Might this be a job for Kev to test the waters as he is the negociater and if it doesnt work you can then milk it for all it’s worth.

Who’s to says that they are not the only ones having to do this.

That link refers to the competition that we were going to run to help us quantify and demonstrate the need for training in the trade, that was a seperate subject entirely

Re: AN IDEA TO KICK AROUND

I saw the joke one in the whitegoods forum but i’m talkin about a serious affair where we hook a lot of the bigger names we want to see at our venues by saying that they’ve been nominated for an award. doesn’t mean that there going to win it it but might be enough to get bums on seat’s.

We must realise that keeping peoples attention and the way that our presentations have improved over the last few meeting has as much to do with show biz as content. I just belive that doing this properly is a way
of bringing more bods along to whitegoods is all.

We must now realise that we have outgrown Sibson and we’ve broKe the cherry of getting people to help sponsor our meetings so we have to get biggrer and better and this is simply another attraction if done correctly.

I’m not talking about a few T shirts in cans.

    Re: CDSL

It is my honest opinion that we have given CDSL a far easier time of it for far longer than we would have done with any other WP or manufacturer given the same set of circumstances and I know I’m not the only one who feels this way, just the only one willing enough to come out and say it.

Southern area guy’s although they have similar problems seem at the very least, to be able to comunicate their concerns through DP. Wether they get sorted or not is another matter.

GA on the other hand, would finnish anyone of you in a heartbeat if he dont get his own way. The only reason your still there Kev is because you have a goods raport with Roy, how good you are at the job means jack shit to GA

But then anything I say now is obviousley going to be considered sour grapes. But I was ringing warning bells before last christmas, long before I got kicked out for speaking my mind. But I was asked to “cool it” and I’m sorry I did now.

The only way you can upset these twats is to order your parts and consumables from elsewhere. If enough people did it, they would soon get the message and would want to know why and might even do somthing about it.

I’m sorry but whitegoods or no whitegoods we are all on our own at the end of the day, unless we start to back one another up.

    Dave.

My thoughts exactly Dave but it just seems to me to be a case of history repeating itself because it just seems to me, that who ever ends up with the curry’s contract start thinking that they are god at some stage or other and bit by bit begin pilling on the pressure. Until it all blows up in their face, then the whole merrygoround starts all over again.

I seem to remember another network using threats and dictates. As I recall, it nearly finnished them in the end.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again what goes around, comes around.

    Re: Level 4????

We all know of a lot of independents that have down sized back to one man bands who have managed to get out of the VAT system and have no wish to get back into it.

We have to try and come up with a way of including them. Perhaps a ‘sales lead payment’ on completion of a sale that we do directly from the site might be an answer.

The customer deals directly with us and has the appliance delivered to her
address and the guy that get’s us the sales lead could also gets to install it.

That way we dont have the bother or risk of credit control on the guy who gets our machine in our customers house. Plus there would be less risk of the guy damaging the appliance in transit trying to do it on his own.

This is a similar system to the one Whirlpool use with their own agents for sales leads.

Remember, there are more one man bands out there than anything else
so let’s turn them into the UKW national sales force.

    Re: Level 4????

We would require some sort of bond/agreement from the level 4 so that they would be responsible for the safe keeping, security, and correct handeling during trasportation, right up to the point where the customer signs for the appliance.

i.e. if the appliance were to be lost, damaged, or stolen whilst in the care of the level 4 agent. it would be regarded as his liability.

How about something on the front page news we might even get some pre launch orders if you make em sound nice. We may even have to order up a few more containers.

    Re: UKW washer

The additional beauty of this package is that not only is it a well spec’d machine it’s also a machine that you dont loose the servicing on, or the customer, for at least five years from point of sale.

All too often when a cutomer or an insurance company decide to BER an appliance due to rip off spares pricing, we tend to loose one or the other. Now for thie first time we have the option to retain both the customer and the servicing.

All in all it would seem that this is an oppurtunity not to be missed. 😉

    Re: We are failing…

I was begining to think it was just me that thought we were missing the boat here.

We did a fantastic job of the presentation and we now seem to be letting it all slip away.

I say clear the front page and let the world know. I thought that was the agreed line when we all spoke last thing on saturday, that we were the news.

I realise that we dont have the machines yet but it’s chicken and egg. we have to set up the support system first.

And we aint goin to be able to do that by keeping it a secret. We have to go for it now, shit or bust.
