    its the bearing seal for LGs that is extortionate last one i did was £18-00- ish from connect , if my memory serves me well

    might be a silly question but i have heard that american machines use a special powder and do not heat up at all , if this is true why are we not doing the same ? a massive energy saving

    thanks dave, the last cwd zanussi i did the bearings on had a special type double seal, this model is a 1000 spin, i have the kit for the thin shaft ones in stock, think i will strip it down to see which it is first

    i have had several similar faults on various hvr autos, some caused by coin or coins jammed in pump causing excesive vibration on spin , some pumps with the long tube type housing easily get 1p coins etc stuck in , and can be missed if not checked carefully.
    allso the bolts go right into the rear tub requiring complete tub replacement, i usually recommend scrapping the machine in this instance

    yes thats why i haven’t done anything with it yet , i was kind of hoping someone had some old stock or even a good s/h one , shame to scrap it as the machine is in otherwise excelent condition

    no did not suspect tacho as motor action seemed fine, would faulty tacho cause syptoms described ?
